The Mexican state of Jalisco is where the magic happens.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yes, there&#8217;s a place called Tequila, Mexico<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tequila comes from Tequila&#8211;as in the the town 40 miles northwest of Guadalajara. The area is home to many agave fields like this. See that mountain in the distance? After 8-10 years of growing, the farmer removes the heart (pi\u00f1a) of the agave plant to be sent to the distillery.
