Remember when we made Glassdoor’s list of the best places to work last year, and the year before? Well, we did it again. For the third consecutive year, Orbitz Worldwide<\/a> received a spot on Glassdoor\u2019s seventh annual Employees\u2019 Choice Award<\/a>, which honors the Best Places to Work for the upcoming year. Glassdoor, the leading social jobs and career community, relies solely on the input of employees, who elect to provide feedback on their jobs, work environments and companies via an anonymous survey.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt Orbitz we work with our employees to create a culture that fosters growth, creativity and working together to provide the best shopping experience and travel products for our customers,\u201d said Barney Harford<\/a>, CEO of Orbitz Worldwide. \u201cWe are pleased that our employees continue to provide their honest opinions on Glassdoor and feel good about the Orbitz workplace and the direction of the company.\u201d<\/p>\n

Currently on Glassdoor, Orbitz Worldwide has an overall 4.4 out of 5 stars. Orbitz Worldwide\u2019s profile also reveals that culture and values are among the top ranked characteristics among employees, with a noteworthy 4.5 out of five stars. Work\/life balance is a close second with 4.3 out of five stars, followed by senior management with 4.1 out of 5 stars.<\/p>\n

Additional highlights on Orbitz Worldwide\u2019s current Glassdoor profile include:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 97 percent of employees approved of the CEO, Barney Harford.
\n\u00b7 79 percent of employees said the company has a positive business outlook.
\n\u00b7 93 percent of employees would recommend working at the company to a friend.<\/p>\n

The Best Places to Work are determined using company reviews shared by U.S. based employees who elected to participate in the survey between November 13, 2013 and November 2, 2014. To be considered for the large category, a company must have at least 1,000 or more employees and have received at least 50 company reviews from U.S.-based employees during the window of eligibility.<\/p>\n

Orbitz Worldwide employs almost 1500 employees, including nearly 800 at its Chicago corporate headquarters. It is one of the world’s leading online travel sites, operating in over 140 countries and annually generating $12 billion in travel bookings.<\/p>\n
