Orbitz is already recognized as one of the best places to work<\/a>, but now we’re getting kudos forour equality initatives, too. Orbitz Worldwide<\/a> just received a perfect workplace score of 100 percent for the eighth consecutive year and is recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality,” according to the Human Rights Campaign’s annual Corporate Equality Index<\/a> (CEI). The CEI is the premiere national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality.<\/p>\n

“Orbitz Worldwide is honored to receive a perfect Corporate Equality Index score for the eighth consecutive year,\u201d said Barney Harford, CEO of Orbitz Worldwide. \u201cWhile we are proud of this accomplishment, we look forward to the day when this index is no longer necessary and treating all employees and customers with dignity andrespect is the only way to do business.”<\/p>\n

The 2015 CEI rated 972 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. Orbitz Worldwide satisfied all of the CEI\u2019s criteria to receive the 100 percent ranking and is the only online travel agency to receive a perfect score.<\/p>\n
