Do customers have any recourse through Orbitz, if say, their hotel isn\u2019t up to snuff or the airline gives away their seats?<\/b><\/p>\n While we all dream of the perfect vacation, the realities of travel aren\u2019t always pretty. We encourage our customers to contact us if they have any issue with their travel so that we can work with our partners to ensure a smooth and delightful travel experience.<\/p>\n We also have an arm of our customer care center\u2014our air traffic analyst team\u2014that\u2019s been an important part of our service since Orbitz launched in 2001. This team of former air traffic controllers monitors travel conditions (air traffic, weather, closures, etc.) and alerts our customers via their mobile devices or email as to how their specific travel plans may be affected. And let me tell you, they are on top of it. On many occasion I\u2019ve received Orbitz Travel Alerts<\/a> via voicemail before the airlines announce a delay.<\/p>\n <\/b>What are the differences between the Orbitz mobile app and the online site? Can customers find app-exclusive deals on it that they wouldn\u2019t find on the main site?<\/b><\/p>\n Well, first, if you haven\u2019t downloaded an Orbitz mobile app<\/a>, whether on your phone or tablet, you\u2019re missing out! They are incredibly intuitive and so easy to use. If so, why?<\/b><\/p>\n It\u2019s always better to book a package<\/a> if you need more than just a flight or hotel. You can \u201cget it together and save\u201d because our travel partners (airlines, hotels, car rental companies) that need to sell inventory offer Orbitz deep discounts as part of a package. Are there better months for deals? Does it vary by region?<\/b><\/p>\n I\u2019m a big fan of thinking like a contrarian when it comes to travel. Going off-season, or even during the \u201cshoulder\u201d season, is one of the best ways to travel on a budget, avoid most of the crowds and still experience pretty great weather. And it\u2019s always the off-season somewhere!
