The Andaz Wall Street<\/a> is among the hotels in lower Manhattan that welcome upscale business travelers.<\/p><\/div>\n

Hurricane Sandy was a tragedy on many levels, but lower Manhattan\u2014one of the areas of New York City most affected by the storm\u2014is back on track and welcoming guests, with reopened hotels and attractions.<\/p>\n

Among the hotels that have reopened are the Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park<\/a>\u00a0and the Wall Street Inn<\/a>, which sits near the New York Stock Exchange and many corporate offices.\u00a0At the Andaz Wall Street<\/a>, a Hyatt Hotel, \u00a0guests are again indulging in farm-to-table cuisine at the hotel’s Wall & Water restaurant and Bar Seven Five. The Andaz’s annual Farmer’s Market\u2014which takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays from early spring through late fall\u2014had to close a bit early this year thanks to Sandy, but will be back when the weather warms up again in 2013.<\/p>\n

Also up and running is Club Quarters Wall Street<\/a>, a financial district hotel designed with a club-like atmosphere for business travelers. Located one block from Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange, the hotel offers amenities including free Wi-Fi and free bottled water. At the stylish Smyth Tribeca<\/a>, a Thompson Hotel, guests find themselves in an ideal spot between the Financial District, SoHo and the West Village, with on-site dining choices that include Thalassa, a bi-level eatery with an extensive selection of seafood.<\/p>\n

Visitors will find that attractions are ready for business in lower Manhattan as well, whether they’re looking to plan New York vacations<\/a> or a productive business trip with unique venues. The South Street Seaport Museum has reopened its doors, with two new exhibitions\u2014”A Fisherman’s Dream: Folk Art by Mario Sanchez” and “Street Shots\/NYC”, while institutions including the Skyscraper Museum, the Jewish Museum and the National Museum of the American Indian showcase the rich history not only of the Big Apple, but of the entire nation.<\/p>\n
