At the end of this year, the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai debuts as the world’s tallest hotel. But even before that soaring tower opens its doors, you can enjoy the views and live the high life at the world’s tallest hotels.<\/p>\n

To really get your head in the clouds, you’ll need to leave the United States. Currently, not a single U.S. hotel ranks in the top 10 tallest hotel lists. Asia is the true hotspot in the race to the top. The current winner is the The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong<\/a>, which opened in 2011 on the 102nd to 118th floors of a 120-story building in Kowloon. Ritz-Carlton Club Rooms allow 24-hour access to the panoramic Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge.<\/p>\n

Dubai-bound travelers will also find plenty of choices when it comes to hotels with a view; this Middle Eastern capital city is home to an impressive number of sky-high accommodations. Among the choices is Jumeirah Emirates Towers<\/a>, part of a glistening, two-building complex, the 73-story Rose Rayhaan by Rotana-Dubai<\/a>, which offers stunning views of Dubai overlooking Burj Khalifa, and the sleek Address Downtown in Dubai<\/a>, which soars 63 stories and features venues including Neos, a “sky lounge” with giant windows that make the most of the panoramic vista.<\/p>\n

In the United States, top picks include the 73-story\u00a0Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center<\/a>, where the 1,246 guest rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, and the Westin Peachtree Plaza, Atlanta<\/a>, whose top floor is crowned with the revolving Sun Dial Restaurant. In the Big Apple, the tallest five-star luxury hotel is the 52-story\u00a0Four Seasons Hotel New York<\/a>. Take the elevators all the way up to the Ty Warner Penthouse for 360-degree views of the metropolis, or swoon at the sweeping vista of Central park from the Terrace Park-View Executive Suite.<\/p>\n

In Las Vegas, it’s all about the Strip views at the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas<\/a>, a 48-story tower housingTower King Suites, Parlor Suites, Salon Suites and two-bedroom apartments, as well as a spectacular, 5,829-square-foot, three-bedroom duplex that comes equipped with its own billiard room. Just try to keep your eye on the ball.<\/p>\n
