Trans-Pacific: The new Park Hyatt Ningbo Resort and Spa opened this year.<\/p><\/div>\n

Park Hyatt is expanding its hotel brand into fast-growing business destinations in China and India this year, and has reopened its Australia property after a major renovation.<\/p>\n

Open since January is the Park Hyatt Ningbo Resort and Spa<\/a>, located in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang, on the banks of Dong Qian Lake. The lakeside resort has 236 rooms including 17 suites and 10 villas. Guests with free time can make use of the hotel’s heated indoor pool and an 85-foot outdoor infinity pool, while business-minded travelers will find more than 14,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 400-person ballroom.<\/p>\n

Slated to open in early 2014 is the Park Hyatt Sanya, Sunny Bay, located in Hainan, China. The 196-room hotel, which sits between a mountain and the South Sea, will have a 2,500-square-foot ballroom and three meeting rooms, and will be complemented by the adjacent Andaz Sanya Sunny Bay hotel.<\/p>\n

Also still in the works are two properties in India. The 185-room Park Hyatt Hyderabad, located in the upscale Banajara Hills area in one of India\u2019s important business cities, will have more than 17, 000 square feet of meeting and event space, as well as restaurants that specialize in Italian, Indian and southeast Asian cuisine. It will be the first Hyatt in India to offer the company\u2019s residential-style multi-function facility, The Manor, which offers flexible meeting space for both large and small groups. Leisure facilities include a spa and fitness center.<\/p>\n

The Park Hyatt Chennai, also targeted largely at business travelers, will offer views of Guindy National Park from the rooftop pool at its location next to the Raj Bhavan governor\u2019s residence.In February, the Park Hyatt Sydney reopened following a renovation that the company describes as the \u201clargest and most comprehensive transformation in its 21-year history.\u201d New artwork by Australian sculptors, painters and photographers graces the property, while revamped guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open onto private balconies, which look out on the harbor.<\/p>\n
