The key is a simple combination of looking for travel deals<\/a><\/strong>, figuring out how to best maximize your dollar, and staying as flexible as possible about when you travel<\/strong><\/a> and where you stay and play.<\/p>\n

  1. Borrow your ski equipment<\/strong>. One of the big expenses of a ski vacation — especially for new skiers — can be gearing up. Tap friends and family to borrow ski gear for your trip — from coats and ski pants to ski boots & snowboards, thiscan be a big saver.<\/li>\n
  2. Travel\u2019s new rule: Pack Light!<\/strong> Most airlines let you travel with a ski bag as one of your checked bags. Just be conscious of the weight allowance and take as much as you can in a carry-on bag to avoid extra fees.<\/li>\n
