San Diego promises a fall bounty, from San Diego Restaurant Week to the Little Italy Festa.<\/p><\/div>\n

Now that May gray, Junegloom and August shade are over, fall is my favorite time of the year in San Diego.\u00a0 The weather is ideal, the water is warm, the evenings are cool and hotel rates go down.\u00a0 Along with these ideal conditions are a few great things to do while visiting this idyllic city.<\/p>\n

1. Julian Fall Apple Harvest<\/strong> (Sept. 15-Nov. 15)
\nCelebrate this historic charming mountain town\u2019s famous apple pies and ciders.\u00a0 The town also boasts art shows, antique shops and live entertainment.\u00a0 You can also see the changing of the leaves and sometimes\u00a0 spot wild turkeys crossing the roads.<\/p>\n

2. San Diego Restaurant Week<\/strong> (Sept. 18-23)
\nFoodies\u2019 favorite week returns with six days of deals at the city\u2019s finest dining establishments.<\/p>\n

3. San Diego Film Festival<\/strong> (Sept. 28-Oct. 2)
\nThis event features 85 award-winning films.\u00a0 Fans can attend special events, five parties, a celebrity ball and industry party, filmmaker awards, VIP receptions and live performances.<\/p>\n

4. La Jolla Art & Wine Festival<\/strong> (Oct. 1-2)
\nFeatures 150 artists, the Green Dragon Wine & Beer Garden, live entertainment, a gourmet marketplace and Gepetto\u2019s Family Art Center<\/p>\n

5. Little Italy Festa<\/strong> (Oct. 9)
\nLittle Italy\u2019s 17th<\/sup> annual heritage celebration features one hundred and fifty vendors, three stages of entertainment, a beer and wine garden, Gesso Italian (Italian Chalk art), an Italian motorsport show, a stickball exhibition game and a children\u2019s area.\u00a0 Local restaurants will serve their best Italian cuisine along with cooking demos at \u201cthe Italian Table.\u201d<\/p>\n
