Hampton Hotels opened a total of 10 new business-friendly properties with 837 new rooms during the first quarter of 2011, and more are on the way. The newest hotels opened in destinations including Charlotte\/Huntersville, North Carolina, Houston\/Pasadena, Texas and the Uptown area of Cincinnati, Ohio, as well as towns in Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas and Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

Many of these new hotels are well equipped for vacationers as well as budget-conscious business travelers and corporate meeting planners. Hampton provides free amenities including local phone calls, 24-hour coffee and tea and Wi-Fi in guest rooms, lobby and meeting rooms. Hilton Worldwide<\/a>, whichowns Hampton Hotels, also likes to tout the brand’s free hot breakfast, estimating that they serve some 55,000 free waffles every day.<\/p>\n

Among the new hotels likely to attract business travelers is the 132-room Hampton Inn & Suites Cincinnati\/Uptown-University Area, located near the University of Cincinnati as well as several hospitals. The property has more than 2,000 square feet of meeting space and a business center as well as a fitness center and indoor swimming pool.<\/p>\n

In Texas is the new, 90-room Hampton Inn & Suites Houston\/Pasadena<\/a>, located in the city of Pasadena, just outside of Houston, which has 3,200 square feet of meeting space and is within 10 miles of the corporate offices of Boeing, Chevron and Dow Chemical.<\/p>\n

Growth is also underway south ofthe border, with new hotels opened this year in Queretaro, Merida and Mexico City, Mexico. The 108-room Hampton Inn & Suites Mexico City \u2013 Centro Historico<\/a> is set in an ornate landmark building in the city\u2019s historic district, just two blocks from the Zocalo, the city\u2019s largest square and hub for many government offices. A Hampton Inn by Hilton hotel in Guadalajara and a Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton property in Los Cabos are expected to debut in early 2012.<\/p>\n
