The airline has announced a new investment of more  than $1.3 billion that will help to pay for 20 new aircraft as well as  additional route expansions. Part of the capital is from the initial  public primary offering that took place in April through the Mexican  Stock Market.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_13966\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=aeromexico-flight-deals&amp;cnt=PKHtype=blog\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13966\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13966 \" title=\"Aeromexico\" src=\"https:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/aeormexico.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-13966\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Aeromexico is increasing flights and capacity.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The purchase of 20 aircraft \u2014 10 Embraer 190s and 10 next generation Boeing 737s \u2014 will allow Aeromexico to offer  increased frequencies and rampup new routes. Since plans to relaunch  the shuttered Mexicana Airlines have stalled, Aeromexico has maintained  control of some 43 percent of the domestic market and 21 percent of the  international market, according to company statistics.<\/p>\n<p>As of April 4, the airline began operating new daily  flights between Guadalajara and Fresno, California and between  Monterrey and Mexicali. Additional new service includes daily flights  between Guadalajara and Hermosillo and an overnight flight from Culiac\u00e1n  to Mexicali. The airline has also upped the capacity, thanks to larger  planes, on routes linking Mexico City with Mazatlan, Ciudad del Carmen  and Veracruz.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>On May 9, Aeromexico is to step up the frequency of  flights on several existing routes. The company will add an extra daily  flight between Mexico City and Campeche and also between Monterrey and  Veracruz, and two more flights between Mexico City and Oaxaca, which  will amount to 40
