Hence a burst of new properties:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Hyatt\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=hyatt-resorts&amp;cnt=OVI\" target=\"_self\">Hyatt<\/a> has opened a 178-room Hyatt Place in <a title=\"Pittsburgh\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformSDLPDealsContent?deal_id=pittsburgh&amp;cnt=OVI\" target=\"_self\">Pittsburgh<\/a>. It&#8217;s across the Allegheny River from the downtown Golden Triangle, and between Heinz Field (home of the Steelers) and PNC Park (home of the Pirates).<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Starwood\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=sheraton-westin-starwood&amp;cnt=OVI\" target=\"_self\">Starwood<\/a> has opened the 251-room W <a title=\"Austin\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformSDLPDealsContent?deal_id=austin&amp;cnt=PKG\" target=\"_self\">Austin<\/a> in the Second Street downtown district. The hotel is connected to The Moody Theater, a new entertainment venue and the new home of the <em>Austin City Limits<\/em> television show.<\/li>\n<li>Carlson has opened an 81-room Country Inns &amp; Suites in the city of Texarkana,<a title=\"Texas\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=TX&amp;cnt=PKH\" target=\"_self\"> Texas<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>There are also two notable conversions: <a title=\"Wyndham\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=wyndham-hotels&amp;cnt=OVI\" target=\"_self\">Wyndham<\/a> has slapped its name on <a title=\"Chicago\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=chicagovacation&amp;cnt=PKH\" target=\"_self\">Chicago<\/a>&#8216;s Hotel Blake, the 162-room property in the converted Morton Salt building. And Starwood has put the <a title=\"Sheraton\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=sheraton-hotels&amp;cnt=OVI\" target=\"_self\">Sheraton<\/a> name on the former Wyndham property located across NW 42nd Avenue from <a title=\"Miami\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=miami-vacations&amp;cnt=PKH\" target=\"_self\">Miami <\/a>International Airport. The 405-room hotel has recently undergone a $6 million upgrade.<\/li>\n<li>There is also\u00a0a notable closure to report: The only Embassy Suites in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=new-york-city-vacations&amp;cnt=PKH\" target=\"_self\">New York City <\/a>is due to close early in January.
