Very good bang for your buck. Clean, nice and friendly staff.
Stayed 7 days in a Junior Suite, was "ok" for the price. First day found a dead cockroach on the floor, none found later. Was surprised the ONLY chair in the suite was a desk chair that had a broken wooden back but it was still usable, but no other seat available, was kind of weird I think for a suite. Ate in the restaurant the first evening, we were the only customers which may have been an indicator, the food was unimpressive. First night in Mexico I was hoping for a nice margarita but they were very small in the restaurant. A/C in the room was excellent, provided very good control. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Wifi quality varied, once it was very fast but mostly it was slow.
This was perfect for my needs. Wanted a place not to far from the office, but not too close. Wi-Fi was a little slow, but acceptable. Room service was fine. Rooms were clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Was not looking for a resort experience, just a place that was a good value for a good stay.
I stayed here because it was close to where I needed to be. The rooms were clean and the staff was great. I like to run and found a 4 km dirt path down Ave Patria (see attached picture). It's also about 4 km from Plaza Andares which is a high end shopping center if you have time to kill and a 5 minute walk to Pizza Petra which was delicious.
This is an older hotel but the whole overall experience is very nice. Two pools and a hot tub, one indoors and one outside. Not the best location for historic Guadalajara, but perfect for the financial district or Zapopan Basilica. I like the place. And make sure to book online before you go, it is expensive if you try to book in person.
I paid my reservation in full six months before our vacation. We asked for 3 rooms with two queen size beds each. When I finally arrived with my family we were told they had no more rooms and did not know what to say? They did see I paid in full so they scrambled to find a room for my parents on the third floor and offered the rest of the family a 4 bedroom house seperate from the hotel. We took it since it was last minute but we should of just gotten a refund. The beds were hard, window locks were broken, paint peeling off the ceilings, door locks to the restrooms broken, roaches in the bedrooms and employees did not seem to care. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Excellent hotel. Not new but in immaculate condition. My room was clean and always kept that way. the hotel staff was very attentive and the restaurant food was excellent both the traditional and the standard fair. I will stay here again.
My bed was pretty hard, shower was plug up and furniture was not that nice.pool area was pretty nice.they didnt have a coffee maker.
Concierge was courteous, very personable and spoke good English. Check in was a breeze. Room was very spacious, AC was working and blowing cold air. TV is "not the latest" but very useable. Cleaning lady was very thorough, professional and always fresh towels, and soaps, shampoos, etc. Hot water is available and location in a safe well-lighted area close to Walmart & Plaza Patria.
Advantage: The environment & building looks quiet nice with good atmosphere (includes good serving attitude). Though it's a small hotel, it has most of the instruments for a decent hotel (GYM / Bar / Swimming pool ...etc). With a restaurant which serves nice Mexican food and were quite famus in the neighborhood. However, exotic courses is not suggested. A taxi station (Sitio 41) accross the road with a shopping mall (Plaza Patria) 2 blocks away, makes a good compenstaion for its remote position between Guadalajara downtown / Zaopopan. Disadvantage: Free internet was based on Wifi, which is quite unstable with reconnect require for about every 15 mins. This brought a bit inconvenient for the ones tight businese schedule. Summary: A good choice for business trip & family stay under very good price & pleasant condition.
Family and friends stayed here and the hotel staff were so nice and friendly, the little ones enjoyed the inside pool and the adults enjoyed the restaurant and great drinks
It was a great location, staff was friendly. The AC worked and was not noisy. The room was clean and comfy except for it was a little smaller than I expected. Bathrooms seemed clean, they provided me with enough towels, soaps and shampoo. Also they provided me with bottled water daily and the rooms were cleaned everyday.
My best memory of this hotel will be the wonderful staff from the parking area, front desk, restaurant, etc. They were so helpful and accommodating. The hotel is very clean and a bargain! It met all our needs and we would return again. My only negative comment has to be that there was no elevator down to the restaurant and I have mobility problems.
Very helpful staff. I checked in very late and the hotel did not have any problems holding my room.
We were there for only 2 days for a graduation, and the hotel was fine for that. However, the rooms were small with two double beds, very clean, and comfortable. If we were there longer, would have liked a larger room or suite. Restaurant food on site was very good, and everyone was very friendly and courteous.
I booked the hotel for my sister and elderly mother on their visit to Guadalajara. It was very accommodating for both of them. For me, it was a good, safe location with easy access to their private parking lot. They loved the restaurant, room, and staff. I live in Guadalajara, and have seen many of the actual hotels in the pictures in Orbitz. Many do not look as good in real life as in the pictures, but I can say that the picture here of the center of the hotel actually does not do it justice, as the hotel is actually much more attractive and nice. This hotel has easy access, and unless you are actually seeking to be stuck on some congested side street, I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a nice place to stay, who wants to come and go to various places in the city.
The County Plaza was a decent hotel, in a perfect location. We had business in the Zapopan section of Guadalajara, so the address on Ave de las Americas worked out perfectly. I would have liked a bathtub, though, and the room air conditioner was loud and either too hot or too cold.
