We were visiting Granville for the weekend for an event. The hotel seemed decent from pictures and definitely cheaper than some in downtown granville. This property has definitely seen it's better days, the carpeting was old and stained at various places both in the hallways and the rooms. The rooms had a musty smell and were dark with a weird bed setting. The beds were acorss the 2 corners of the rooms vs next to each other like they are in most hotels. The closet had sliding doors which were cheap and were sliding off their supports and getting stuck. There was supposed to be free wifi but the connection was awful and wifi only worked in some strategic places. The magnetic keys kept stop working and we had a to the front desk multiple times to get them addressed. Overall a pretty disappointing experience.

This place was disgusting. First we were given a dirty room. The hallways hadn't been vacuumed - there were crumbs and cigar ashes everywhere. Our room hadn't been vacuumed. The balcony chairs were falling apart and unusable. The pool was closed (our whole reason for staying there). The air conditioner wasn't working, and it was literally 87 degrees in the hallway. We had to leave our sliding door open all night to make it bearable,

Many of the amenities were unavailable. The restaurant is still great but the hours are so limited. We were placed in the back away from most people. I hope it was not because we are black.

Nice and quiet has that 1970s charm .It would be neat in a winter storm kind of place. Thanks! Away from that mall feeling

Larger than average room although the layout was awkward with a large armoire separating the king size bed from the sitting area. There was a small balcony and a large bathroom with an extra large soaker tub/shower.

Kid and adults loved waterpark and arcade and bar area. Ask life guard for the best pizza. We ordered pizza pallce or something. It was awesome.

very nice facility, close to drag strip. seemed like the times i checked in and when i went past the front desk the clerks were extremely busy (with a busload of what i assume were girl athletes0

nothing worker no ac then no heat tub drains don't drain building is falling apart decks rotten never cleaned room would tell everyone to not go there

We stay 1night there. We are everyting good. Waterpark so fantastic. We are so happy.

Wonderful staff. Gorgeous landscaping room a bit musty. Overall stay great

Quite nice staff were wonderful room okay a bit musty

I was really upset at the fact that this is titled for the hotel and indoor waterpark. When we checked in they said it was for the hotel only. Very misleading. It cost me twice as much to include the water park. The clerk was rude and advised me that what was advertised was for a government priced room even after I showed her the confirmation email. She acted like it happens all the time and that I needed to ask you to correct the price. I felt like that is an issue with yours and their public relations. However, I paid it so that my boys would have fun on their spring vacation. The room was not clean, there was old pop cans under the furniture and the complimentary coffee was old and dusty. The coffee pot was dirty and dusty too. It felt like we stayed at walmart but paid nordstrom prices. Definitely would not even give them a 3 star rating, maybe a 2.

Cherry Valley is better than the average hotel found in this area of Ohio. Very comfortable beds, clean, large bathrooms.

The complimentary breakfast could have been better. This was our second time visiting. We were a little disappointed. We were visiting for the craft show back in December 2010. Then we did the Longaberger tour at the Longaberger office. We also explored Dresden for more shopping.

Staff was pleasant through out visit. When booking my room I asked for a handicap accessible room. The room was on the far side of the hotel. The handicap parking was far from the doors as was my room that was at the end of a hall. The only part of my room that was handicap was the commode with rails. Was unable to use the shower as there was no place to sit. As in previous visits the room again smelled of smoke but was clean the furniture worn. During the tornado warning, we were taken to a lower level fortunately I was able to use crutches as it was not handicap accessible

Cherry Valley Lodge is usually wonderful - but not this time. Got there late at night after long drive and they didn't have type of room we had reserved (we reserved two queens; they only had king plus pull out couch). Then, room smelled musty, especially bathroom - shower curtan in particular smelled moldy. I'd still recommend it, but not as enthusiastically as in past.

we used the water park, indoor pool,

We planned this trip for our grandson's ninth birthday, to visit coco keys and stay all night at the hotel, he and his brother have not stopped talking about it. We had a wonderful time. My grandson said he will never forget our birthday gift to him. They had so much fun. My husband and I so enjoyed our stay with the kids. The staff was wonderful, I needed a lot of coffee with having the grand-kids, the staff was gracious about supplying plenty of coffee to us. Would highly recommend [...] we just had to show up and enjoy ourselves. We arrived early due kids wanted to, hotel accommodated us and let us check in early. Thanks so much cherry valley lodge [...]

Hotel was good. Fitness Center needs updating and need to fix broken machines. Security needs to be tighter with Water Park, found a young girl roaming the halls and asking me to help her get in her room, her grandmother let you wonder back to her room with no key and luckily, I walked her back to the water park and left her with a supervisor, since anyone can walk right into the lobby and then halls of hotel, this is risky. Food is good, but expensive for breakfast. With Bob Evans around the corner, should take time to comp shop prices.

excellent serice and friendly employees
