We stayed at Diana Palace for 9 night and had a very enjoyable stay for our first time in Greece. The staff are all so helpful and friendly, always with smiles on their faces and eager to assist in any way possible. The location of the hotel is very nice, it's in a central part of town, but not overcrowded with party-goers (like the Laganas area). There are a few bars and nightclubs which we frequented and the city center is also a very close cab ride. The hotel is near the water, and there's a small beach down the road to the left, but the beach certainly isn't the highlight of the location, in fact we only went there twice to watch the sunset which was beautiful. Zakynthos is a fairly large island so your best bet is to rent a car to hop around to see all the variety of beautiful beaches. It's so FUN! They had PLENTY of variety at every meal except for breakfast. If you have diet restrictions, they do label the food gluten free/vegetarian, etc which was excellent. We opted to save a bit of money and go with the basic rooms instead of the rennovated ones. It is basic for sure but it has a nice bed. They don't provide any fancy soaps or anything but you can always grab some from the nearby shops. The maids did a great job cleaning/freshening our room daily. We went "green" and reused our towels but sometimes the maids changed them anyways. The entertainment team were all so fun and sweet, although they had cheesy music sometimes ;)
