Sheraton Zagreb Hotel5.0 out of 5.0

This is the place to stay in Zagreb. We arrived on the 23rd of July and we are still here in the hotel. The hotel is really good, as expected from a 5 star hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Today is my son's birthday and they surprised us with a birthday cake for him. He was so happy. The breakfast is very good and has many varieties. The rooms are not very big though. But modern and quiet. The bathroom has a very nice tub. The pool is really nice with a small open air patio. Sauna..tropical shower are available too. I think the only problem is that children are not allowed to swim alone under the age of 16 which is really not very logic as other Sheratons allow children older than 12 to be without their parents. It is near everywhere and has tram stations next to it as well as a bank and a very good exchange office with very good prices and no commissions. There is also a supermarket, a movie theatre (movies are NOT dubbed in Croatia and are in English). Next to the hotel are a small pizza place, cafe, and a bakery that are open till maybe mudnight (since almost everything closes around 8-9 pm). In short, I love the hotel. Our only bad experience is my husband's massage was cancelled and they want to give us another appointment not according to our preference. Oh..the other thing is you have to pay for late check out..which we never had to in any other hotel before. Thank you Sheraton Zagreb..
The Sheraton Zagreb is a great hotel. I have also stayed at The Westin as well but rate it slightly ahead especially since the renovations. The location is very good, only a 10 min walk into the centre of town. SPG Platinum recognition is also very good - I have been upgraded to a standard suite at every stay here. The breakfast is excellent and they can do eggs to order, fresh juice and latte. Special recognition for Mira working in the restaurant during breakfast. She provided outstanding and friendly customer service to my Wife & I during our 2 week stay. Only negative is that drinks at the bar are quite expensive. Highly recommended.
My husband and I have been touring Croatia for 10 days now and our last stop was here. We were extremely impressed with the front desk service! We had a problem finding the hotel (due to the gps not working) and I can't begin to tell you how much help the front desk was. I felt terrible calling so many times for directions. The front desk manager, Vera, even offered to meet us and show us how to get there!!! That is true hospitality! I also wanted to send a shout out to the other front desk associates that helped us nikolina and roko!!! Thank you!!!
Located within walking distance of the main square we were very disappointed with the poor nights sleep we experienced, caused by a very soft and uncomfortable bed. The air conditioning was a little noisy and you would be advised to pack your ear plugs!! Breakfast and evening meals were nothing special. Not up to the standard of other hotels in this group.
Great location, within walking distance of the main square in Zagreb. I was upgraded to a two room suite as a Platinum member. My room wasn't available for check-in when i showed up (around 2PM), so the front desk agent showed me to the bar and bought me a drink and snack. Great service and a great start to a vacation. Also, the fitness center is one of the nicest I've seen at a hotel.
The hotel is excellent. Big quiet rooms , excellent services and cleanliness. the rooms have big bathrooms with everything you need. Also a fabulous breakfast from early hours in the morning. The hotel bar is also excellent.
We stayed at the end of our 26 day trip and really enjoyed the wrap of luxury at this Sheraton. Close to the old town (10 minutes by cab) and a very comfortable room. Good rates, friendly staff, great piano player in the lobby and a recommended location while in Zagreb.
Well I was actually surprised how quiet the hotel is, considering it's location. Rooms are pleasant and staff who maintains them is really friendly. One bad thing about this hotel is the pool. Really do not bother. It is small, sealing is low and the outdoor "beach" is cramped in between concrete slobs. But I guess this hotel is mostly designed for business people anyway. I was on business, but I still like to spend some time relaxing in my off-work time. That was hard to do there. Also, their internet was not working well at all, during my stay.
A part FROM not getting our wake up call demanded. We had a nice stay. Thank god the air conditioning was working properly with the very hot weather. Very well situated from the attractions of downtown.
My family of 4 just stayed at the Sheraton Zagreb and have only good things to say! Ivan, at the front desk, was immensely helpful and courteous. Our rooms were clean, spacious, and everything we wanted - comfortable beds, roomy bathrooms with large towels, robes, slippers, lighted magnifier mirror, soaps/lotions/shampoos/razors, etc. We really enjoyed the breakfast - eggs (any way you want them), pancakes, many fruits, breads and pastries, fresh squeezed orange juice, meats....everything. The executive lounge was not available as it was undergoing renovations. We also enjoyed the pool! And to top it all off, it was in walking distance to everything in the city center! We would definitely stay there again.
