We stayed in one of the comfort mobile homes. The campsite is quite big, so be prepared to have rather long walking distances from the mobile home to the beach and pool. The mobile home itself is quite well-equipped and was clean, only the terrace needs some restoration work. The beach is perfect for small kids, you also find enough natural shadow under the pine trees. The pool area has quite a lot to offer so that it was hard for us to get our kids enthusiastic about the sea. The only thing which I found annoying was the constant exposure to music from different loud speakers. Sometimes there was the music from the aqua gymnastics at the pool and at the same time you had also the music from the beach bar plus from the animation stage. I prefer more the natural sound from the sea rather than having several music sources at the same time. Anyway, I am not a person who needs that much animation.

Great services and place , but one comment: Zaton is positioning itself as environmentally friendly and huge eco-friendly awards, then why do Kuzina's restaurant use plastic disposable cup (beer mug)??? Please don't produce plastic rubbish and use reusable glasses ! Thanks

Even though we arrived before check-in, the staff found accommodation. They are still repairing and innovating accommodation and are perfectly tidy in the apartments and outdoors. Accommodation is very suitable for families with small children. Nearby is the beautiful town of NIN. Zadar, 10 km away, is an overlooked historic center with a harbor and a classic treasure of fresh fish.

We had lovely vacations in the middle of june. The weather was warm, even the sea and pools were warm. We even got a bigger apartment than we rented, which was really nice and totally new. Some things we done when we were already there (repairment of air condition, new chairs). Food was delicious, maybe more fruit and vegetables would be nice at breakfast and dinner.

We stayed here for a few days in our touring caravan. We had slight reservations as two other caravaners had told us when they stayed at the site next door the big site was really noisy till 4 in the morning. For us this was not the case at all. We were pitched in a prime position near the beach and a short walk to the bars, restaurants and shops. Music stopped at midnight at the beach bar and it was silent after that. The music before midnight wasn’t ridiculously loud either and didn’t bother our 8 month old baby who slept through it. I notice there’s many reviews on trip advisor for this site which are negative seem to be mainly talking about the onsite accommodation being less than expected with not many caravan/Motor home site reviews. Maybe Zaton holiday park should have a separate review page for their accommodation, as for us the overall caravan park was really great and the negative reviews on here are in no way a reflection on the caravan park. There are hundreds of fellow caravaners and everyone was really respectful of each other. The resort is very clean and well maintained. The pool area is absolutely fab! It caters for kids of all ages. Incredibly interactive with water park features. Plenty of deck chairs by the pool (which there’s no cost for) which was great. There’s lots of bars, restaurants, shops, kids activities, sporting activities, play parks, mini-golf and more! Our only negative on the site which was more of an observation was that the restaurants and bars seemed to have an extra few kuna added on which made it an extra 20p-80p more than you’d find else where in Croatia. Personally I feel given the volume of people they accommodate for, this is unnecessary. It wouldn’t however put us off staying here - not at all. We will be back in the future! Can’t wait to come here when my little boy is a couple of years older so he can use the activities more!

These apartments are perfect for families with children! Beach and pools were really close to the apartment! Wireless internet is available in the apartment and was working properly. I will surely return to Zaton Holiday Resort.

We liked: + Beach + WiFi works in most places and at proper Speed, most of the time + Broad offer of several activites (especially for Children) + Numerous restaurants + Price is very cheap + Zadar (~ 10 miles away) + Going for a E-Bike ride on Uglian + Animateurs were not intrusiv + Professional Reception / Process + Markets (both, on site and the co-located one) + Cash-Machine on site + Everything was clean + Appartements (4 star) very nice + Perfect garden in the back, play grounds all over + Huge Flat-TV + Coffee-Machine + Croatian beer was very good (Ožujsko) We don't liked (Appartment D7): - Visible cables and patch-hibs in the ground at the garden (potentially dangerous for Kids) - Backdoor was very hard to open - Frontdoor not closing properly - Frequent blackouts (no room access, no cooling) - Bed was awful - Stove too small and terrible to use (but very new model) Stromkabel schauen im Garten aus dem Boden

This has to be one of the best campsites in Europe. Everything on this site is geared towards you having a great holiday. Excellent pools, parks and facilities. The beachfront is great for kids and adults. It has slides and an inflatable assault course in the sea.

Its a shame the resort is doing a lot to try and make it the standard it says it is. Can't fault the pools and beach area. We stayed in a 3 person apartment, which was like being in a basement, very dark. The double sofa bed had been made comfy by putting a thin mattress on, but the single sofa bed was rock hard. The beach time was spoilt by men drinking on the beach from midday. Then evening and night spoilt by more singing. We went across the bay where we rented another apartment, we could hear the singing over there. The resort need to chose which clients they want as family's and large groups of males do not mix. Would not stay at the resort again.

Just back from a great 10 day stay at Zaton with my family. Lovely accommodation. Veey spacious and clean. Warm water. Safe tidy beach. Lots of places to vusit or just chill Definitely coming back again.
