I booked this with booking.com and took a family of 4 to this resort. We booked a mobile home and was impressed from the start. The resort is huge so bring a scooter or bike! The home was air conditioned and set in a peaceful camp area. Very clean and quick service when our tap had a leak. The pool is the main feature. Recently reconstructed and probably the best pool I've ever been to. Very impressed and the kids loved it. There are also plenty of entertainers and the kids were impressed too. Downsides - Greedy. You will find the shops are overpriced (including the supermarket). The resort makes you pay for sunbeds and parasols (even by the pool) so there is no space for Towels or shade. The wifi is useless and doesn't allow iPhones to connect properly. The food in the restaurants is poor and overpriced. MANAGEMENT PLEASE make this a non smoking resort. It's horrible having NEIGHBOUR's who smoke and it is horrible watching people smoke on the beach and by the pool. This is a family resort and you should prohibit this as a rule!
Loved our stay in mobile home. Mobile home contains all needed for pleasant stay, beach is fantastic for kids as well as other facilities (pool, playgrounds...). Basically resort has it all, you dont even have to leave it if you dont want to (although shops, restaurants and fruits/vegetables stand is pricey). Even our dog enjoyed mobile home and big terrace and especially beach for dogs. We'll come back definetly.
It was our third stay in Zaton and the reseort is developing each year! You have a plenty of facilities for the kids in any age and a safe roads for little kids as well as for f.e. rollerblades riders. Parents can have a great coffe on the beach and lovely dinner in Bepo restaurant to which we return always with pleasure. We've stayed 4* apt which is great quality and cleaness. Would recommend anyone who is used to hotel services but prefer green enviroment and space of the camping.
I went to this resort with my family in June 2017 for 8 nights stay. The resort as such is not bad, especially if you know what a typical apartment in Croatia looks like, but you will certainly be disappointed if you rely on the "star" rating of the (part of) resort as this does not even come close to a four star accommodation. For the record, we stayed in two four star apartments each for 5-6 persons. But let me start on a positive note :) The resort prides itself on a nice sandy beach which I must say is really good. It is mostly sandy although more sensitive people might prefer to wear shoes in the water as the sand is mixed with small stones at the entrance to the sea. There are also new pools built in the resort which I personally found very cold but maybe it was just because it was the beginning of the season. The kids pools were freezing cold, however, my little ones refused to go there. There are also many activities, a lot of playgrounds for the kids, lots of sports available (I enjoyed running track of over 2 km in the woods) and even some animation program (my mother in law loved water aerobics). We loved to make trips to towns of Nin (walk) and Zadar (15 min by car) nearby. We had a car but it is possible to get a uber or a taxi if you fly here. Now to the negatives: did you know it is possible that a supposedly 4star facility not only does not provide any cleaning services during your stay, but will charge you a penalty if you do not clean your apartment? With nothing more but a broomstick they provide you with? The cleanliness of the apartments was ridiculous, there was sand in the bathtub when we arrived and since there were at least five spiders only in one of our bedrooms, I reckon the room has not yet seen a vacuum cleaner. The towels were supposed to be changed twice a week but the ladies changed maybe half of our towels once and even mixed them with our dirty ones (placed on the floor since I used them to clean the floor in the bathroom - no cleaning services). Bed linen change happened only in one of our apartments after specific request (was supposed to be once a week). The apartments were small and to our surprise were on two floors, which was not mentioned anywhere on the resort website. I think all of the apartments for 5-6 p are on the first floor of the house with no ramp/elevator, so we ended up taking two strollers up and down the stairs several times a day. It would have been very appreciated if we knew about these accessibility issues beforehand because we would have chosen a different type of apartment. The apartment also had a continuing problem with air condition which was not solved until our departure. Lastly, the check out time is 9am which is honestly a nightmare even without children. Despite the negatives, it was a good vacation. I expected too much of the resort,I suppose, but if you are in the mood for holiday of this kind, the Sol Amfora / Melia istrian villas resort in Umag is definitely a much much better choice.
We were looking for an all inclusive style and booked half pension, which I really regretted as the quality of food was mediocre at best. Mostly, I missed more fresh vegetables, in particular any melon. Restaurant was really crowded, sometimes forks and knives were missing. I disliked that every activity was charged separately. Some activities were not ready yet, a pity I was not informed about alternatives, e.g. the good indoor table tennis table, stumbled over it at the end of our stay. Overall, Zaton Holiday Resort has potential but needs further improvement.
It was the 2nd time we stayed there. The last time was 4 years ago and the improvement of the resort and the Service was amazing! The only downside was the fact, that the new pools haven't been ready when we have been there.
We are very happy after stay in the beautiful resort. We lived in 3 star apartment for 4 person. Premises were clean and nice. Room service was ok. The pool area was great, just kids were unhappy the the kids pool was closed. But overall the holiday was perfect.
The 4-star rated 2+1 Studio Apartment is very small, narrow, and bad furnished. The check-in process was quite bad. However we arrived on time (12:00AM), we could occupy the apartment cca. 2 hours later. The front desk office service is so poor and not helpful. The location is nice, the cleaning staff is very polite.
We stayed in Zaton from 2nd June to 11th June. We are family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids age 3 and 5). We stayed in the two bedroom apartment in Tonka which was spotless. The resort itself is beautifully landscaped and very clean. It has a doctor, pharmacy, souvenir shops, grocery shop, bakery, few restaurants and lots of entertainment. You could stay there for 2 weeks and don't get bored. Staff is very nice and helpful. It's an excellent place for family holiday, kids will love it. We'll definitely come back 😎
We visit this Location for 4 times and every times it was great! There are nice Peoples, Restaurants with dellicious Food, Shops with Souvenirs, Sandbeach and Bars with Cocktails. We want to come again!
