Frankly, this wasn't our top pick for a weekend getaway in Yosemite. It is an hour away during the low season (Oct) for a visit to Yosemite Valley, but we got used to driving in. There is free breakfast everyday. I thought it would be just your typical cold bagels and cereals. Those are still available if you so choose, but there were also self-serve waffles, hot bacon, scrambled eggs, and sausages. Not what I expected at all at this price point. The staffs were super friendly and always helpful. I couldn't figure out how to close the curtains at 10pm at night but receptionist dropped everything and came up to help us. It might not apparent in the pictures, but the set up of the "hotel" is like a motel, meaning you don't get to your room through a lobby, but rather you park in the parking lot, and can walk straight up to your room through the stairs. If security or privacy is a concern, then you should look elsewhere. But then again, this is in downtown Mariposa. It's in a busy part of a small town in the mountains, I am optimistic there wouldn't be too many criminal activities. The hotel was fully booked when we got there which is a good sign. The hotel from the outside doesn't look very impressive, but we were happy that the room was clean, everything was functional, no leakage, no mold, no bugs, no loud noises. This is a safe bet, no frill (but good breakfast) m/hotel, if you can't find a camping site in the park.

Rented two bedroom with kitchen. Comfortable accommodations. Slightly worn and marginally shabby but ok in the local. In need of some maintenance but the essentials are there and the work. Staff was helpful and interesting individuals. Not as close to Yosemite as you would think in terms of time. Took us 1.5 hours to get to Yosemite Village without any traffic. The road itself is a "twisty" single lane mountain road for most of the way. There is one rock slide closing one section of the road at this time. Yosemite itself is breathtaking. Mariposa itself has several interesting historical buildings, and museum. The two restaurants we patronized were very good.

This hotel is located on a hillside, making it a bit difficult for disabled clients to navigate. There is no elevator, and the "ground floor" rooms (we had one) can take a little effort to get to the lobby and breakfast room. Nice bedding, towels, and hot breakfast. No cold cereal or milk for those who prefer that. Good coffee in different strengths, which is a must for us. The outside corridors and back side landscaping definitely need attention. Value was average for this resort area.

Stopped in for one night on the way back to San Francisco after a day in Yosemite. Ideal location for us. Room was fine , clean but outdated. Check in was easy and could park close to the room. Don't think I would stay here for a whole holiday though.

We were a family party of 3 in a family room. Our room on the second floor and was spacious, air conditioned, well maintained and clean and it had everything we needed. Breakfast was included with the room rate and was also very good. The hotel staff were pleasant and outgoing. The only problem was the bed mattresses that could use upgrading in the near future. The location is very good for visiting Yosemite national park and there are plenty of nice places to eat in Mariposa, within a very short walking distance. Fair Price and good value for money.

A quite little hotel in serious need of updating. They made an attempt, by adding new beds, but they crammed two kings into a room that could comfortably handle one. Paint and wall paper won't fix most of the drawback, but a good interior upgrade would go a long way. Breakfast wasn't bad, but lacked choices and freshness.

List of things that i hated about this inn 1. Found ants and other bugs in the bathroom. 2. The bathroom smelled like old and wet mops. 3. Their thumb driver looking key card is super annoying and does not work well. 4. Shower head was too low 5. Toilet was too small so my special manly body part kept touching the seat (yikes!) 6. Furnitures were okay (means they are not the worst) but bathroom needed an immediate upgrade. Breakfast was okay. Scrambled eggs and sausages.

Not so great inn, definitely needs some work. Would avoid room 138 until bathroom is fixed as it has some maintenance problems, ceiling, rusty staples holding up wallpaper, carpet, etc. We asked for another room which was cleaner but it had a bad leaking shower head. Good grief. Property is past it's prime. Wouldn't stay here again.

We were supposed to stay on the monarch and it was terrible ir it was unclean and smell really bad, the service was very rude about it, so we went to the Comfort Inn and in comparison this one had Beautiful rooms! Lots of space, very clean! Smelled really good! Excellent option!!! Fair price for what you get! Love the place, beautiful decorated! Everything looks well maintained. Good and fast service. The hot water was perfect! Just love it!

We were supposed to stay here three nights, but only stayed one night and moved on. The one night cost us $194.79 including taxes. First thing I noticed when I went into the bathroom was toenail clippings in front of the stool. Second thing I noticed was lint and food crumbs on the floor by my side of the bed. This told me that the room had not been cleaned properly. There were no glasses or plastic cups for water to take our pills. Also, the room was very small. But this was minor stuff compared to what happened next. We turned on the TV and could not find our news channel that we always watch. I called down to the desk and asked the clerk (his name was Rain) what number was Fox News. He said they did not have it and asked me what was so great about that channel anyway? I told him it was the most popular news channel on TV. That's when I made the decision to only stay the one night.
