We were supposed to stay on the monarch and it was terrible ir it was unclean and smell really bad, the service was very rude about it, so we went to the Comfort Inn and in comparison this one had Beautiful rooms! Lots of space, very clean! Smelled really good! Excellent option!!! Fair price for what you get! Love the place, beautiful decorated! Everything looks well maintained. Good and fast service. The hot water was perfect! Just love it!
We were supposed to stay here three nights, but only stayed one night and moved on. The one night cost us $194.79 including taxes. First thing I noticed when I went into the bathroom was toenail clippings in front of the stool. Second thing I noticed was lint and food crumbs on the floor by my side of the bed. This told me that the room had not been cleaned properly. There were no glasses or plastic cups for water to take our pills. Also, the room was very small. But this was minor stuff compared to what happened next. We turned on the TV and could not find our news channel that we always watch. I called down to the desk and asked the clerk (his name was Rain) what number was Fox News. He said they did not have it and asked me what was so great about that channel anyway? I told him it was the most popular news channel on TV. That's when I made the decision to only stay the one night.
Whilst this hotel was in an excellent location for visits to the Yosemite valley, unfortunately the positives end there. At the end of a long day of walking, me and my husband visited the pool. The grounds were clean but the pool was filthy, yes it was around 4-5ish but no net provided to allow us to clean out some of the bugs so we could go for a swim. The room was perfectly adequate, did the job and we slept ok. However, the air conditioning unit is extremely noisy and whenever next door flushed the toilet or used the shower we knew about it. The major downfall for me was the breakfast. I wasn't expecting anything grand. But what we did get was a self service buffet with tables that we cleaned up ourselves before sitting down. The stirrers for coffee were cocktail straws and the bowls, plates, cutlery all plastic or cardboard. A very carb - heavy breakfast and need to get there early to make sure you have the best selection available.
Staying here is ok for a couple of nights if you are hiking in Yosemite. The rooms are very dirty, black mold on ceilings, crumbs on the floor, hair in the bath tub. Location wise, it is easy to get to/from Yosemite valley and the town is cute with an awesome donut shop near by. Surprisingly the beds were comfortable. Just expensive for what you get. You are paying for location!
The rooms were nice and clean. They had very Comfy beds too. A good amount of space. We stayed for a few days and they did a good job changing the towels, making the bed and such. A coffee maker and a table with chairs. No mini fridge. Its set up with each room to go dicretly outside, we didnt mind because the weather was great. There are a few levels. The parking is right in the middle of the two buildings. They have a pool and hot tub. they were both nice and clean. The laundry room is right there too (only one washmachine and dryer). They have a complmentary breakfast. A good assortment to choose from. Hot and cold foods. Such as eggs, meat, toast, muffens, cearals, waffels, yogerts, juices, milk and, cofee. There is also a water cooler that you can use to fill up your waterbottle. They have a big cooler in the dining room that anyone can use, but anyone can use it. The computer was in there too. The staff were very nice. When we went it wasnt very loud, a nice enjoyable vacation. Free Wifi This is fairly close to Yosemite. It is a drive to get there but not so bad. It's like the last town before you get there if you are traveling 140. There are hotels along the way though. But this hotel is in a town with restaurants, a convenience store, and little shops. A nice small little town. Not super fancy resturants but a few were good. I recomend the pizza place. Very helpfull people as well. Threre are also other towns near buy with resturants to choose.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn. We arrived early and the receptionist managed to let us check in early which was much appreciated. There is a great pool and spa which we all really enjoyed using. Breakfast is provided. The first morning, we were one of the first in as we were visiting Yosemite. The second morning, we were a little later and had to wait for a table as it was so busy. Beds really comfortable and great hotel staff.
We loved staying in the Comfort Inn on our recent trip. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool was really appreciated on a hot day and the breakfast was good. Everyone in the town that we spoke to was friendly and we had a really good pizza from the Pizza Factory across the road. Thank you.
I'm writing my 1st review so I can warn others to check their beds before entering. We stayed for 2 nights (rm 117) and when we came home I noticed red bug bites on myself and my daughter (we shared the same bed). I had noticed a small rusty blood stain on the sheet during my stay but didn't think much of it until I researched bed bugs. It's a shame because the employees were really nice but the hotel needs a deep cleaning. There are not a lot of options during the busy season of Yosemite but you still owe your customers a clean bed at night! I'm just hoping I didn't bring any of these creatures home with me.
Jimmy the front desk is amazing person. Thanks . Room is very clean and confortable. Bathroom very clean. Everything in my room works. Wifi works. Breakfast is adequate Pool and Jacuzzi is great. Walking distance Historic Downtown Mariposa.
Nice people, good breakfast and clean. Very basic but ok. Close to downtown with beautiful roses of all colors. The grounds are beautiful. We stayed to go see the redwoods and it was a great trip. We later stayed in Yosemite and paid more for only the proximity.
