Staying here offers you a bit more freedom to come and go as you have the facilities to make breakfast or a meal which is great if on a tight budget.

Had a ground-floor unit that was perfectly quiet on Saturday night. Easy walk into York. Parking just behind the property with a daily discount. Laundry was free and super convenient for our stay.

First, the positivies: - The location is not bad, especially if you don't mind walking a bit. Shops and restaurants all very close by. - Very good price - Reasonably well-stocked room, especially the full kitchen with equipment. What ruined this stay for us: - The overall cleanliness of the room was disappointing. The floors were dirty, the sheets did not feel clean and one of the pillows was stained, and all the pots/pans needed to be washed twice before they could be used. - There are gaps all around the door which let all the sound in from outside - everyone walking past, every door opening/closing up and down the hall, even babies crying and alarms going off from nearby rooms. Not pleasant at 4am when trying to get some sleep. - Our room was on the ground floor and had no windows. This was compensated for with a skylight with a closing shutter, but it didn't help much with how dark the room felt. Not a deal-breaker considering the price of the room, and a good attempt to make up for the lack of windows, but did not help the overall experience.
