I & family have a great time stayed at this hotel. The room was clean, there's hot water & bathtub. If u want to swimming make sure to ask the room near the poll because there are 2 part of this hotel. Ones in the south that has swimming poll in the area. The staff was friendly & helpful. There are many food option near the hotel. So far it's the best hotel worth every penny
Their staff is very kind, attentive and willing to help. Altough the hotel is quite old, it has its magical atmosphere of colonial style combined with beautiful Javanese decor. And we had great massage by their masseuses for very good price, it's definitely worthy to have it. :) Everything was nice, but there was only one problem during our check-out. When we were leaving by cab to the airport one of the man forgot to load my friend's suitcase in the car. We did not notice that, because they told us our luggage is already inside. We found this out when we arrived to the airport. Fortunately we had enough time to get back, but they did not want to pay for the extra ways. I do not really care about the money, cabs are pretty cheap in there, but it's about the principle.
Stayed here for 3 nights and had a memorable stay i would say. worth every single cents spent on this place :) a 3* hotel which provides a 5* feeling. very pleasant and helpful front desk guy. helped us to book cab to go Malioboro street. Built in javanese & balinese style which gave the classy feeling overall. chose a room facing the garden on the ground floor. Room was very spacious and maintained well. strong wifi connection. the only thing to improve would be the choice of menu at the restaurant. very limited choice.
The hotel is quite big with 2 divisions - separated by a busy street. WiFi is strong in both blocks. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with firm mattresses to soothe the tired muscles. The towels (from bath towels to hand towels) seriously need a change as they were rather coarse to the skin and stains could be seen due to poor washing. They looked old too. This is the first time I have seen such towels provided by a hotel throughout my travels! Decorations are lovely with traditional Javanese sculptures on walls, pillars and even doors that have different designs. Food spread is average where one can savour Indonesian and western food. One inconvenience is that the non-smoking floor is on the second floor in the building across the busy street. A bit of a hassle having to cross the busy street each time as the reception counter is in the main building. However, there will be a security guard on standby to stop the traffic to ease crossing across. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant stay for me during my sojourn there.
This hotel has everything you need for a stay of 4 nights. A lot of shops around the corner, nice eating places on a short distance. For the price, we would definitely recommend it. The people at the lobby of the hotel are very friendly and help you with everything! The rooms were clean and big enough for two people.
Stayed one night at this hotel whilst transiting through Yogyakarta. The hotel set up is very nice - the surrounds create a lush relaxing atmosphere. There are two sides to the hotel but security is there to stop traffic to assist with crossing the road. Didn’t see the pool as I arrived late in the afternoon and just wanted to rest a bit before having dinner. The restaurant is nice. Buffet breakfast is well laid out and tasty. The rooms are standard comfortable rooms. The bed is comfortable - not too hard, not too soft. The bathroom is nice but could be a little cleaner. The towels were well worn and an off white colour. Air con works well and is relatively quiet. Wi-fi is a bit hit and miss but works as well as it can in Indo. Power can be interesting. It went off several times during my stay but was returned pretty quickly. Located on a busy street but you barely hear any road noise. There are quite a few eateries located in the same street and surrounds within a short walk. Also plenty of shops located close by (majority are aimed at men or shoes). Staff are wonderful and very helpful.
We were looking for an authentic old traditional hotel in Yogyakarta and we were not disappointed at all. We got a conjoined room as requested on the south part of the hotel. The swimming pool was located just behind our room for the children convenience. Their garden is exceptionally beautiful, well taken care off. The pool is clean and well maintain. Breakfast spread are mixed with some traditional flavour like gado, pecel. There are jamu too. The house keeping staff are polite, kind, friendly and attentive. We had a great stay at puri artha. Thank you for making our stay memorable.
i had stay on october 22 , 2017 with my family due gradution day . during the the stay for 2 night i was impressed by service of staff eventhough is not younger /teen staff. especially for room boy who had cleaned our room very friendly by natural attitude.but our nice stay is break for disturbing at first night due the door is not properly to coverage and your will got the sound of wind.. it is very disturbed on all night,, please priority to maintance as your design is beautifu with balinese styles
I stayed here with ten students on a study tour and really liked it. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a private shuttle to Malioboro and an easy walk or becak ride back. There are plenty of places to eat or shop in the area and the rooms are very comfy and clean. The beds are very comfy, I slept really well, bathroom large and functional with good water pressure. I also had laundry done and it was cheap and easy. The pool is across the rd in the other building with more rooms. There are staff to stop traffic so you can cross and this was not at all an issue. We ate dinner here and it was delicious. The hotel also has an internal day spa open until 11pm. I would stay again.
Although a bit old-fashioned, The hotel is a feast for the eyes. The moment you enter the lobby, you’d see lovely traditional Javanese furniture and decorations. On certain nights, a group plays the gamelan while guests enjoy dinner. The ambience offered by the hotel is great for meditation and relaxation. The staff is warm and friendly. I wish I stayed longer but I had to fly back to Jakarta to catch my plane back home. I am definitely going back to Yogja and will stay in this hotel again.
