Hilton Garden Inn Yakima

easy access to downtown, was able to come and go easily from local wineries and breweries. well kept property, room was large with comfortable setting. did not feel luxurious with Hilton brand, but very clean. nice pool and hot tub. breakfast buffet in am was very enjoyable- reasonable prices and great food.

We had a very pleasant stay save for the king sized mattress that on one side sloped towards the center of the bed. I would suggest that the hotel check its mattresses for replacement.

Overall a good stay. Front desk clerk did not give us info on where to park, where room was or explain to us how the food situation worked. Didn't find out until halfway through our meal that breakfast was not included in the stay. Little confusing and frustrating but not the end of the world. Could have better communication.

Great location in the heart of downtown Yakima. The lobby area was updated, clean and nice. The room was clean and comfortable. We will stay here again if we go back to Yakima.

It was quite nice, the only thing I didn't like was that there was no continental breakfast, and the pool was really small.

Beautiful room (we got an unexpected upgrade), close to the theater...we're coming back again next concert

Courteous staff to assist at check in and during the breakfast hour.

Nice facility. Close to restraurants. The parking garage was a plus.

My girlfriends and I stayed here for 1 night. During the day we toured local wineries. Perfect hotel for a wine weekend getaway. Comfortable rooms. Restaurants and bars within walking distance, as well as wine shops and bars.

Stayed in a street-view 3rd story room on a 96 degree day in Yakima. The room was clean & spacious. The pillows were way too soft but luckily there 4 of them that you could pile up (for one person...). The bed was very firm but at least it didn't squeak. TV was newer, the channel selection was awful (HBO blah : other then it being cheap, why does EVERY hotel subscribe to that station). The room stayed at 71-72 deg the entire time which is too warm : I had the AC down all the way but it couldn't overwhelm my western exposure wall & the sun. Lastly, I enjoyed the Sunday paper on my door step. I did NOT enjoy a lack of complimentary breakfast. If I pay 2x the rate of other hotels within 2 miles I would expect that a nice breakfast should be included, not a $11.95 add-on....

Loved staying at Hilton Garden Inn every month to visit family in the Yakima Valley, until last weekend's vandalism to my car in the parking lot. I checked out of the hotel Sunday morning feeling refreshed from our wonderful night only to find cars vandalized in the parking lot. One car had the back windshield broken. The empty parking spot next to my car had broken glass on the ground. My car had 2 dents in the hood and the trunk. I was glad my windows were intact and called the front desk after realizing the dents in my car after leaving the Yakima Valley. Front desk told me to call the Yakima police dept to file a police report and that the hotel manager would call us back. It's been a week and no one from the police dept or management has called us back. Upset that multiple calls to the police dept and hotel have gotten us nowhere. Will be sad to have to find another hotel because of this one incident.

We used the pool and hot tub. Very nice. I kept admiring the tiled waves on the wall. Never been to Yakima, so we asked the Miss in front for some family friendly sites. She printed us directions to scenic areas and family restaurants. Very helpful, very friendly, and as always, Hilton is a wonderful place to stay.

I was largely unimpressed. I think cheaper hotels offer better amenities and comfier beds for less. I expected more.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the American Grill, though the service there was more "all business." The food was good, especially the affordable breakfast in the morning. It was a buffet, but had cooked to order eggs and omelets. The room was clean and well-appointed. We also thoroughly enjoyed sleeping on the sleep number bed. Now I want one!

I have stayed at this HGI many times. The service and staff are excellent. The facility was built in a former downtown shopping mall so the building is very solid with high ceilings throughout. Excellent parking at grade and below. The owner (franchisee?) is regularly present at breakfast. You can walk to some local restaurants or use the good in-hotel restaurant. The local neighborhood is fine for jogging.

Allowed us to check in early by contacting the maids to clean our room next. Invited us to relax while they got our room prepared early so we could meet our conference schedule. Polite and accommodating. The Hotel is conveniently located right near their convention center. Restaurants are close too.

We stayed here over the weekend during the Yakima Spring wine barrel tasting. We've stayed at other hotels in the past, but for now on we're going back to the Hilton Garden! The rooms were clean and looked newly decorated. The breakfast is not free, but you get what you pay for. This buffet is well worth the $11 cost. The only negative I could come up with is that there is some road noise from the highway, but it's not that noticeable.

Only negative. Directions for getting on Wi Fi were supposed to be in desk drawer but weren't. Front desk person didn't know how to do it. Every thing else was good except the shower. It is open, which I initially liked, but that made it cold for every part of me that wasn't in in the water. There was no heat in bathroom. Room was nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and staff was very friendly and nice. Good cookies at front desk. Did not eat there.

We were college visiting and this was a conventient stop on Saturday night. We sat in the bar late and it was a happening place (me and the other Mom, not the girls) and the bartender was supper nice and friendly. Sunday brunch was great, too.

The hotel was extremely clean, modern and smelled very good. The music that played in the spa was smooth classical which helped us relax and thoroughly enjoy our stay. It is centrally located and restaurants and other attractions were easy to get to. Our room was very quiet, which was exactly what we wanted since we were getting away from the kids for the weekend. Would recommend it to friends and family!
