Dated worn bath tubs and public. Had alert staff to low battery beep at smokedetector.

I provided a full in-depth review on google guides

The front desk lady was very nice and let us check in early.

Staff is SO nice. Really great people for the check-in/out process. Rooms, carpeting, elevators need some serious upgrading though.

Food was well prepared and the hot tub/pool was well maintained.

Excellent customer service – – I have nothing else to add to this

Property tired, but clean with friendly helpful staff

Good location but very dated, poorly maintained and down right dirty in places.

Such old hotel should be with the minimum price/rate per night. sounds like a scam to me. when I get out of my home to sleep somewhere else for over $100 I should expect a better than my home comfort experience..but I was missing my home comfort all night in this hotel, bad experience. very limited small breakfast too. It sounds like this hotel is dying and they trying to use the name reputation to get as much as money before they close it or sell it to low players. even parking lots was not re-painted, didn't know where to park my car right.

The elevator was so old and dingy (also smelled horrible), that I was nervous about getting in it. The pictures of the room online show a small kitchenette but when I asked the front desk about getting a room with a kitchenette, she said "the kitchenettes were removed during the remodel." First of all, there's NO WAY those rooms were remodeled (at least not in the last 20 years), and even if so, why remove what looked like perfectly good kitchenettes??!!! The hotel staff struggled a tiny bit checking me in due to printer issues which was fine, but when I checked out I had to wait almost a half hour because of computer issues - and that would've been fine if she had let me know or even acknowledged my existence, she just let me stand there. We will not be staying there again.

Sliding door on balcony was unlocked making my room easily accessible. Even when locked the door was not very secure. Old facility

The desk attendant had just finished tell someone that they couldn't pay a room deposit in cash unless they had $200 (which the person did not) and was grumpy. The hotel was probably built in the late 70s or early 80s and has not been renovated since. Not worth the price unless you are really tired or there are no other options. The beds were bordering on bad. I was looking at the Holiday Inn Express across the street with great envy.

“DON'T DO IT !!!!!!!!!!!! Howard Johnson Plaza Yakima/Near Convention Center 9 N 9th St, Yakima, WA” - - Room was not cleaned on 1st day. They said we told them not to clean. Not true. 2nd night-same occurrence but, room was cleaned at 10pm because I complained. 3rd night room not cleaned because personal item, which was a sleep shirt, left on one of queen beds. Hotel said other bed was given clean linen etc. but, not true since spread juxtaposition like we left it and carpet still required vacuuming, etc. - Bathroom - Gross with black ring around inside of stool and; commode top is too small for the commode. - I communicated these things to the front desk and received matching explanations from front desk and other employees. General Manager arrogantly explained, in a single voice message, why the 1st and 2nd incidents occurred but, her explanation did not match her employees explanations. General Manager's explanation was not the same as her employees. Hmm. Bytheway, that was the only time the GM reached out to me despite my visits to the front desk asking to speak with GM. Apathetic. - - Oh and they ran out of late checkouts. Yes, this hotel ran out of late checkouts per a senior front desk person. What? Exactly. So, I checked out at 10:39am. Prior to checking out other front desk person pulled me aside and extended check-out time to 12n. - Had great experience with Ms. Rivas and with Ms. Desiree, both Housekeeping, who passionately apologized and did was professional

I have stayed in many hotels like this one but this breakfast was great!! Scrambled eggs, potatoes, cinnamon rolls, breads, bagels, etc. Super cozy bed as well! Great place for the price!!! Free breakfast was amazing!!

The hotel staff were really nice. The only problem was the hygenic condition. The carpets were very stained and had a putrid odor. As for my room, where I stayed for 4 nights, had a few problems as well. The bathroom was never cleaned nor the sheats changed. The furniture and lamps had layers of dust and gum stuck to it. It was gross.

Great value for and location compared to other hotels near convention center.

The hotel staff was nice, the room was nice, the hotel is nice. But we had to lay towels down on the carpeting because it was extremely dirty. You could scoop up handfuls of accumulated dust and dirt. The carpet was sticky. It hadn't been cleaned in a very long time.
