I wanted to like this motel, and the man who checked me in was very nice. I normally really like mom & pop motels, but something about this place creeped me out. Overall it seemed reasonably clean and the condition of the bathroom was good. However, the sheets and towels were old and discolored, there were flies in the room, there was a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door, there was a plastic shower curtain under the mattress and hanging over the box spring, and the thing that really bothered me was there was some kind scent that I think was intended to make it smell good, but really grossed me out because it was so strong. This place was cheap, so maybe I was getting what I paid for, but I wouldn't stay here again.

While this was the lowest price hotel in town during this visit, it was a very pleasant experience. The Paintbrush Inn is modest, but well maintained. The decor was very Jersey Shore with lighthouse and shell motifs, which I found charming and nostalgic being from Jersey. When I commented the owner informed me her husband was from NJ and enjoyed that style. A great feature was the fridge, microwave and coffee maker. In my room was a cupboard with real glasses and bowls and cutlery which was perfect to enjoy a libation and a snack with proper table settings. Bed was extremely comfy and I had a refreshing sleep. No complaints whatsover. Will likely stay here again as I try to get to Thermopolis to take the waters at least once per summer season.

We liked the room which had the bedroom and a separate living room with a fridge and another TV. Beds were comfortable and felt good.

When we got there, the staff could not find my reservation. They gave us a room that was had a bedroom with a door and the other room had a fridge, microwave, coffee pot, chairs, table, couch etc. Both rooms had good TV's. The rooms were clean and the beds felt good. Overall the room was good for the price.

The room is clean and big. There is kitchen in the room. The bed is big and soft enough.

Room was filthy. Ask 3 times for different things to be cleaned up. Third time I asked to check out and be refunded because I was not going to stay. I arrived on time and in good faith. Mgr. said I would have a $20 fee to check out. Cleanliness was their problem not mine. It guess it was worth the $20 not to have to stay in a dump!

There was no coffee, one room offered was not setup with roll out bed and the tv was not viewable by all beds and all people in the room. Switched to the suite room but it had not coffee in it. New coffee maker but no coffee. Had a smoke smell just a little bit. 2nd bed (couch pull out) seemed to be broken, the head area fell through the couch. Friendly staff though.
