I asked for a quite room on a quite floor, they have accomodated me where I was surrounded by rude and loud people, not their fault for that, but I asked them to ask that people to behave more politely but nothing happened, maybe they have ignored my request.
MY TOWELS WERE DIRTY. THERE WAS NO HAIR DRYER IN THE ROOM.
It is in a central location in Detroit, a clean and functional hotel. Staff was very friendly and the valet service was great.
The AC wasn’t working in the lobby which was extremely warm not to mention the hallway in my floor was the same temperature. The small market was not full stocked in the lobby area. There was no soap, shampoo, or conditioner in the bathroom.
Amazing hotel
Waited 40 minutes because room wasn’t ready. Staff was all nice but it was 4pm check in time and the whole lobby was full of people after us still waiting too. Waited 20 minutes for on site restaurant to open and finally gave up. Front desk said they should be opening and didn’t know where workers were. Same thing in the morning, all morning, 7-10am and never saw the restaurant open. Room by the elevator is a bad spot. Lots of people came back throughout the night being loud and there’s no sound proofing so lots of waking up. Again, the hotel staff were all real courteous but it’s like the site wasn’t ready to support a weekend of visitors.
Location was convenient but I would not stay at the property again based on the valet nightmare alone. We waited over an hour upon checkout to get out car and it was complete chaos with everyone waiting for their cars for a long time. Another issue was the room door didn’t close properly and you really have to slam it shut. The phone in the room didn’t work either and in general, the room wasn’t as clean as I would’ve expected. Our feet were dirty from walking on the floor so obviously the floor wasn’t clean well enough. In general, I would stay at other properties before I ever stay at this one again

I felt the free breakfast was a bit misleading. We were told that the hotel offered complimentary breakfast until 11am, when I check out, they directed us to the restaurant part of the hotel. The waitress then proceeded to hand us menus, and told us that “everything is fair game except the steak” us thinking the breakfast was going to be free we ordered a meal each (4total) and only got water. When we were finished, they gave us a $100 bill. I told her that we thought it was complimentary. She said no. Regardless, we paid, but I sure would have wished a better communication from the hotel staff.
TV didn't work the whole time. Ask for someone to take a look.
