Was expecting a delicious meal, I rarely eat out because the meal always costs more than it’s worth. Ordered baby back ribs, mom ordered pork chops. Only a handful of people in there. Got our food and first bite? Ribs tasted freezer burnt. Couldn’t continue eating it! Mom tasted and agreed, tasted old she said. We sent it back and I ordered my old trustworthy burger and fries. Tried a bite of my moms pork chops and tasted like hard pucks. Hers is $21 and mine was $26, was expecting mouth watering perfection. But glad to be refunded. Burger and fries were good. Mom roughed out her dinner. I wouldn’t eat here again. Nicely displayed food though.
We recently stayed at this hotel for one night before flying up to Churchill on a polar bear tour. Then we stayed for one night on our return journey. The hotel is extremely convenient for the airport, within short walking distance if weather okay. Staff very friendly and helpful when we arrived. However the room we were given was gloomy and disappointing. It seemed stained and run down with a TV that didn't work, poor decor and tatty information guides. The bathroom did not raise our spirits either. Overall, It just made us feel miserable and was not the standard we had expected. On a positive note although it overlooked the airport we were not bothered by noise. On the return leg of our tour, we were not looking forward to staying in the hotel at all. However much to our surprise, we were given a lovely room. It was of a much higher standard. It was clean, well decorated much more comfortable with a brighter and well appointed bathroom. We could not believe the difference in the experiences we had. If we had stayed in this room earlier we would have definitely given the hotel a much higher rating. The hotel needs to bring every room up to same grade. Our tip would be, if you end up in a bad room ask staff if you could change it. We just didn't think that there were much better rooms in the hotel. On a final note, we ate in the restaurant both nights and could not fault the food or the service. We would stay in this hotel again but only if we could choose the nicer room.
First time visit, will book again. Big room, clean, well laid out for working and taking a break. My room overlooked the airport, so some plane noise during the day was inevitable, but the room was very quiet at night. All the staff were courteous and attentive to what's going on around them. Kudos!
Hotel had a nice large area for breakfast with a. Huge selection. It was very good. Room was clean, huge walk in shower, bathroom was clean. We felt the beds were very soft, at the point of needing replacing. Had a nice big gym, pool was nice, we were disappointed that the hot tub was more like a warm bath with only 4 jets. Not a really hot tub. Not sure I would go here again.
Strategic location being in walking access to the airport and also to rental stations. Very quite and very nice excellent sized rooms, nice room service and tasty foods as well. Price are really reasonable and competitive with equal hotels in the city. With the city of Winnipeg is small you can easily stay in it and find yourself close to every thing either if you have car or by using the public transport which they have a bust stop in front of their door. I personally prefer to stay in it every time I come here for business (which is almost monthly Orr even twice a month some time)
Convenient to walk across from the airport when arriving and walk back across the street when flying home... Room was very nice and decent to work in although the desk chair was a little uncomfortable .. The Restuarant amenities are pretty good. Overall a good, convenient place for a fast business trip..
We stayed for 3 nights. Standard of the hotel: 5/5 star. Standard of the room: 5/5 star. Standard of the Breakfast: 4/5 star. Friendliness and helpfulness of staff: 5/5 star. It was a nice hotel to stay at while we were doing business in Winnipeg. We would stay there again.
Stayed here for 2 nights before and 1 night after trip to Churchill for polar bear tour (excellent experience). Staff at counter for check-in and checkout were very helpful. Breakfast at the restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced for a hotel. Only negative comment is that the restaurant/lounge/sports bar layout is very confusing for some. We had a friend who never found us one evening as the sports bar is tucked away in the back behind 2 doors with poor signage in lobby.
Enjoyed our two nights here. Restaurant and lounge serve good food and have nice selections. Staff was courteous and rooms were well appointed and clean. We found this hotel to be a great place on our way to Churchill.
We stayed at the Four Points Winnipeg Airport before and after a trip to Churchill, Manitoba. The Four Points is conveniently located right across the street from the airport terminal. It was very easy to walk there. We rented a car from Hertz (located in the parking lot) so we could explore Winnipeg and the hotel's parking was in the same lot as the rental cars. The hotel is new and the rooms were clean and well-designed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were not bothered by noise from the airport.
