This hotel is very modern and very clean. the only problems i found with this hotel was that the night before my flight that left at 4;00 am the next morning as i turn the lights out and got into bed i rolled over to look at the window and even with both curtains closed i could still see and hear all of the lights of the planes and the airport. but besides from that it was all good the staff was very polite and i was just a short walk to the terminal which is mostly indoor and all that you have to do is cross the street. in my experience that hotel was Excellence.
Located just steps (by way of enclosed walkway) from Richardson International Airport in Winnipeg, this is an excellent place to stay. Beds were comfortable, staff were agreeable, the room was very clean and comfortable. Just a really good place to stay for a very good price.
My wife and I attended the restaurant for supper. Service was fast and friendly. The food arrived with a pleasant presentation and was HOT! I would not hesitate to recommend eating here. For an airport hotel, the food was excellent!
If you are transitting Winnipeg and looking for a hotel closed by, you can try this Four Points Sheraton across the terminal. It’s literally less than 5 min walk. This is just like any other Four Points Sheraton I’ve seen in any other cities in Canada. Modern interior and no room service for food. But there are restaurants at ground floor. One thing this hotel is very thoughtful is their portable charging port on the bedside table. Most hotels wall plugs are behind the bedside tables or somewhere far away from the bed. I do not like where they place the towels in the bathroom (under the sink) because it feels very dusty and not clean.
This hotel is located next to the airport. (within walking distance). Very cute set up inside with bins on shelves to arrange your clothing in. Bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows of various thickness and 2 extra pillows in the closet. Two footstools tuck in and under the side tables. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap are in a dispenser on the shower wall. Well lit and has blackout shades for the window. No noticeable airport noise. Did not hear my neighbours or their tv's, etc. Staff including housekeeping are very friendly. Covered parking for $6.00 / night.
I stayed last evening at the Four Points Sheraton Winnipeg and I booked two rooms for my family. I thought the hotel was beautiful and the bedrooms were fantastic. However I was very disappointed when I was told by using my AAA travel card I was not allowed to have complementary breakfast. This was not told to me when I booked the room or when I checked in. My children told me the following morning when they were refused breakfast. I called the front desk and informed I was not entitled to the breakfast because I received a AAA rate. Nobody told me that on the phone when I booked it. And I spoke to the front desk. This is very disappointing and is a real bait and switch operation. I would've rated much lower however the rooms and the overall service was excellent. Make sure you get the name of the people you talk to you when you book this and be prepared to complain all the way up to the manager. I had to get on a flight to America and I didn't have a chance to bring this up the chain of command.
Rooms small but clean. Lots of construction at the airport so for a quiet room ask for a room on the opposite side from the airport. Staff very attentive. Restaurant very good food. Try the bison shortribs and the Lake Winnipeg pickerel (Walleye in Americanspeak).
I stayed at this hotel during a business trip and for my last day wanted to stay near the airport. As this hotel is attached to the airport you cannot get much closer than that! Overall it was a good stay and priced well. Below is my review from 1-5. 1 is very poor and 5 is excellent. Location - 5 Staff - 4.5 (would have been a 5 as they are all very friendly but I was told by 1 staff member that my parking fee was waived but upon checkout I was charged for parking) Lobby - 4 In House Restaurant - 3.5 (nothing bad but nothing outstanding either) Shower - 4 Wi-Fi - 3.5 (a bit slow at times but did the job) Bed - 3.5 (I left a soft bed but found their bed a little too soft) Room Cleanliness and Overall Condition - 4.5
Stayed here for a night enroute to Nunavut. Service impeccable. Hotel is walking distance from the airport, right through the car port. Room was equipped with a small fridge and microwave. Bathroom modern. Beds very comfortable. Clean. Restaurant was good with several options. Staff provided good advice and information on where we could shop for goods and food to take north. I would definitely stay here again. Forgot to take pictures of the room expect for our view of the sunset.
