Here is our opinion - this hotel is in awful condition and it was a bad experience all around - except for the great restaurant next door! This hotel is beat up and not even close to what we expected from a Hampton Inn, or worth close to the Hampton Inn premium that we paid. The pool was dirty, the hot tub disgusting - it smelled awful. Many pool chairs were black with what looked like mold. Room was beat up, bathroom ceiling moldy and full length mirror cracked. Air conditioner rattled on and off all night. Breakfast, to the extent there was any, was gross. Really unfair to say breakfast is included when what there is is minimal and really net edible. When we asked that they replenish the egg we were told it would take a bit - half hour later, same story and no eggs. Many guests, like us, apparently left the breakfast room in disgust. Frankly we couldn’t wait to get out of this place because it felt skeevy. And we are still feeling it.
We traveled to Winnie to visit the High Island and surrounding bird sanctuaries. Hampton in was close and very comfortable and convenient when we returned at the end of the day. We were very satisfied with our stay there.
It was clean and quiet. Check in was fast. Well stocked with toiletries. Good breakfast starts at 6 but really considering that most of the business comes from the construction industry, the breakfast should be served earlier to accomodate us.
Closet too small, curtains would not close, no desk lamp, lobby coffee was only room temperature, food was room temp, tortillas were taken straight from a package, and not heated....gummy. Lousy insulation between rooms, We could hear running children in the halls, a baby crying constantly, ..... not the standards we have seen at other Hampton hotels.
The staff made our stay the best! Offered a complimentary late check out which helped out so much. The pool and hot tub are excellent perks on this hotel away from home! Highly recommend for those that just want a night away.
Arriving late in the evening after hours of highway driving we were greated by friendly staff that made the check in process a breeze. The room was very clean, modern, and had a comfortable bed. Breakfast was good with a spacious dining room and plenty of tables, only negative, no bacon. Overall a great place to stay.
It was clean, quiet, and new. Maybe you can make it smell a little better. Over all nice stay.
It was fine the location was good the amenities were good the comfort was great the cleanliness was good we would statyvagain the rooms comfort was great the location was descent and the value was good
The staff was very friendly and wonderful in helping us with a last-minute room request! The furnishings were modern, like new and very comfy. The only thing is there was toothpaste on the faucet. They just need to crank up the housekeeping a notch and they'll be golden.
