Holiday Inn Windsor Downtown

We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday INN. We made a last minute decision to do a girls trip from Michigan to Windsor. My friend and I took our daughters to Windsor to celebrate them turning 19 years old. We had a nice dinner, then went to the casino to try our luck. The hotel was a couple block walk to the casino so it was a good location.

Hotel is what you'd expect from Holiday Inn-they are all the same essentially. Hotel is right next to nightlife and downtown

The booking did not indicate anywhere that there would be a $15 charge for parking. I am not sure I would have chose this hotel if I knew that.

This hotel does not have the quality that I have experienced from a Holiday Inn Express. The room was dingy, the bar and hooks that hold up the curtains were covered in rust, the hair dryer was broken, and the air conditioner worked intermittently. I called for room service at 9:30pm and the receptionist said it was closed. When I expressed my confusion because the information in the room stated it was open until 11pm daily, she was quite rude and told me that they close early when they want. I should have stayed in a hotel that cost a few dollars more and had a pleasurable experience.

The hotel is clean and non smoking, I stayed in two rooms, the first room where having good not noisy air condition , but the second room AC was noisy, staff are friendly.

Three reasons why I would never return to this location. 1 - the fan speed in the room regardless of the setting that I chose was always on high. 2- the internet service provided was very poor 3- rooms need to be upgraded, bathroom is way too small compared to other chains.

Holiday Inn Windsor is a no frills hotel with good customer service. I picked the hotel because it was near the Detroit-Windsor tunnel and I was headed to a Tigers game, Staff was very knowledgeable about the bus service and how/where to direct you. Full service restaurant that was open until midnight and opened at 7 am. Room was clean but nothing about the hotel is extraordinary.

Its was a young persons hotel. Noisy but in the middle of it all.

My friends and I (ages between 19-22) went to the bars, casino, and clubs. We had a great time. This was my 5th trip to Windsor. I have stayed twice at the Holiday Inn and I honestly don't think I will ever stay there again. I have also stayed at the Quality Suites and Caesars. Quality Suites is little more in price but certainly worth it. It's not far from the Holiday Inn but it is must quieter and nicer, well worth the price. Caesars is the best option if you like to gamble but too overpriced. If you're willing to spend a little more money I would recommend Quality Suites over Holiday Inn.

This was the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway with friends. Amazing location with local bars and nightclubs on the same street. Walking distance to Caesar's Casino and food. The hotel was clean, affordable, fun, and friendly staff. Couldn't ask for anything more!

It was super!

I was very upset with the fact that we had to pay $30.00 to park our car at the hotel for the weekend.

The rooms were very crammed. The pool water was slimy & the fitness center was nothing special either. I think it was completely over priced for what we type of room we were in as well.

I needed a hotel close to the VA in Detroit. So this was closest and I have never been to Canada so why not? The staff is great at the Holiday. Secure paid parking $6.00 us. AS I looked around the area I observed 2 doors down; a tatoo parlor, 3 massage places , tourist shops , eaters and the casino 3 or 4 blocks down from hotel.Shuttle from hotel to casino every 20min. Feb weather in is ugly.I said to myself should I get a tatoo,a massage? Not. If I was to get a tatoo it would say Canada is Ugly. Just kidding. The people I talked with from Can.were great ! The hotel eatery was very good.reccommended by hotel checkin clerk babe. I would stay at this hotel again, again. I was there for aprox.15hrs. Eat,drink, sleep then work. The hotel was clean, somewhat quiet, secure, friendly. rating from 1-5 would be a 3.75 because the staff, food, and overall friendly people to converse with. I travel alot on job and would reccommend this place for business travel, couples but not families because of the surrounding area. Thats the skinny from Timmy.

I was on a venture to be reunited with my biological family. The Holiday Inn in Windsor was so accomidating. The room was spotless and the staff was wonderful. We ran into a little delay in our pick up on our check out date...the staff let us leave our luggage in trust for over 5 hrs before our ride arrived. They would not have to have done this but the going out of there way was a very pleasant surprise. Because of their consideration, we could walk around Windsor and enjoy some sites. I would Very much recommend this hotel to everyone whom is going that direction. Looking forward to staying with them in the future. Thank you to the staff!!!
