This hotel is an acceptable option if you want to stay near the downtown and have good access to their Italian district which has a variety of nice Italian restaurants. The hotel itself is fine, clean and the rooms are an average size but the hotel is in need of a little sprucing up in some areas like the doors and hallways. The breakfast is good but unfortunately there was not enough hot food on a Sunday morning for the number of guests and there was no attendant available to replenish the food items.
We stayed here in the summer and great place. Room was large with 2 double beds and a pullout couch and fridge. 5 of us stayed and it was great,. Short walk to the main drag downtown and a short walk to get the Tunnel Bus. The area the hotel is in definitely is questionable. It looked like two houses across from the hotel had squatters in it, very rundown and sketchy people kept going in to the houses. But then you walk the other way from the hotel and it is a nice neighbourhood. The staff are top notch, letting us check in early. The hotel is small and it is clean. Lobby is small and clean, elevators were fine too. I would definitely stay here no problem again.
The employees at the desk were some of the nicest I have ever come across in the hotel industry! The room was nice, clean, beds comfortable. I'm not a huge fan of the washroom door - a sliding barn style door, doesn't really close tight, just slides across so not a lot of privacy, but not a huge deal. The breakfast hours are until 10 a.m. but we went down at 9:40, no waffle mix, no eggs, no sausages and when we asked we were told they wouldn't be replenished as there wasn't enough time. I think if breakfast hours are advertised until 10 a.m. then breakfast should be available until 10 a.m. The goods should be replenished when there is still enough time to do so. There was a group of about 6 young men who came in after we walked away and I'm sure they weren't pleased either.
Although the room was newly renovated from top to bottom there was no real seperation from the sleeping area and you could not watch the t.v.from the sitting area. the location of the inn is not far from the casino and downtown.it was however nicely decorated.I did however find the mattress very firm
Was planning on staying here on Friday for the Deadmau5 shower Caesars. The lady at the front desk was awesome totally not her fault but we drove from London and showed up with confirmation number. Had $400 cash and they would not except it, No Cash what so ever! So I tried my visa/debit still a no go. They will only accept credit Ruined me and my fiancé’s night. We thought we would give this place a try I guess next time we will just go with our instinct and stay somewhere else!
My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel Aug 14-16. Our original reservation was from Aug 14-15. Check in was smooth and had no worries. They provided me with some special for my stay as part of being a Choice Rewards member. The location is fairly close to Ceasars Palace and many good restaurants. The hotel room was nice and clean. It was was somewhat outdated but renovations have been advertised so I'm excited to see how it will look afterwards. Nonetheless, the hotel was clean, spacious, the water pressure was great and we didn't have any issues. We decided to extend our trip from Aug 15-16 and we were able to do that with no issue, which I appreciated. We didn't have the Continental breakfast but it was provided during our stay. I would definitely stay again when I'm in the Windsor area.
Very Spacious clean updated room, excellent breakfast (loved the sausages and eggs) and reasonable price, and very close to the casino, the Manager Nick very friendly, planning to make this our regular stay for casino concerts!
My husband and I stayed here while attending a show at Caesars. The hotel is old and tired and undergoing renovations. The neighbourhood is a little sketchy however it is very close to downtown, within easy walking distance. The room was big and a blast from the past. The variety for breakfast was good but the room was small and crowded. Overall, it was a decent choice keeping in mind that you get what you pay for.
I stayed recently at the Comfort Suites Downtown for three nights for a religious convention. It was my first time staying at the hotel and it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay! The fellow who checked me in gave me the run-down of the facilities and details of the stay. It was quite the barrage of information but helpful. He was very friendly! If I'd had questions about the hotel or stay, I'm sure they would have been answered with a smile. The breakfast was great. The hot items were simple (scrambled eggs and ham); the continental items (bagels, pastries) were plentiful. The waffle maker was fabulous! The room was comfortable. Not much of a view to speak of. All rooms have refrigerator (with a very effective freezer portion) and microwave. The neighbourhood is a little run-down but didn't feel unsafe. Four blocks (less than a 10-minute walk) to the riverfront. The carpet in the hallway was a bit wrinkly; however, the hotel is being renovated. There was some slight construction noise on Thursday night. This stopped around 6PM and wasn't obtrusive. There were two things that I wasn't keen on: 1) there seemed to be a smell in the elevator. It might have been an air freshener; I wasn't quite sure. The scent wanted to be pleasant but my nose didn't like it. As the hotel is only three floors (I stayed on floor 2), it's not a long ride on the elevator and not too big of a deal. 2) the "in-room coffee maker" is a Keurig. While Keurig coffee makers might be preferred by the masses, I was hoping to have had a traditional drip coffee maker. It still made a decent cup of coffee. Just be aware that you'll have a Keurig in your room. I do hope that the hotel offers rooms for next year's convention. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
This was a really nice hotel, It s only 3 long blocks from the tunnel, and about the same from the waterfront and Caesars Windsor. I was there for the Fork and Cork Festival and Caesars Windsor from July 7-9, 2017. The best advantage is not having to drive the 8 km's from the EC Row Expressway area to Windsor, and after a night out...it's better to walk than drive. The next time anyone is in Windsor, and you need place to stay, check this one out.
