This was a lovely, clean, friendly, quiet motel at a good price. Lots of hiking trails within a fairly short drive, and a quieter, easier-to-deal-with place than Lake Placid. Rooms include coffee machine and microwave. Good Italian restaurant and a brew pub a 5-minute walk away. If I take another vacation in the Adirondacks, I'll definitely want to stay at this motel again!
Bed bug bites and more bed bug bites. Showed them to the manager and they never called me. No complimentary breakfast as advertised. 3 nights and not once was our room serviced. The manager gave my buddy a hard time for having to wait for me while I was showering so she could leave at 9:00 in the morning on a Sunday. Stayed here because of the reviews and I am highly disappointed.
Good afternoon. I want to point out a few things to you. I called an exterminator the next day and he found nothing. Why did you wait until the 3rd day to tell someone? When you checked in you were told we had to bring your room a modified breakfast because of Covid. We have prided our selves on the heavier breakfast to include eggs. We can’t do that anymore. You also should have been told about room service. We can’t enter your room any longer. We advised on how to get clean towels in the morning and trash removal. We have had hundreds of customers stay with us during these trying times and they have understood completely. I am sorry about your experience. I’m the owner and you could have called personally at any time!!
We drove from the New York City, so arrived after check-in time was over (9pm). I called ahead and let the keeper know about our late arrival. I was told that the room will be open and ready for us. Yes, it was indeed ready: table light was on, electric fireplace heater flickered by its fake charcoal light, ant TV was murmuring something. It really felt like coming home :)

I always enjoy Mountain brook lodge, The hospitality is amazing however, this time around the room wasn't very clean (it is in need of updating) smelled not so nice. They were doing laundry in the early morning whcih was vibrating our room and our neighbors were extremely loud and banging all night and at 5am. Received no room service only asked if I needed anything. If the owner was there im assulomg that wouldve been different.

Nice little motor court style motel. A welcome throwback to a bygone era with wood paneling and real door keys. The room was small and simple, clean and cozy. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The heat struggled a bit to keep up the first night, but to be fair it was below zero and the place is nestled in the shadow of Whiteface Mountain. Additional blankets kept us warm. Mattress was firm, comfortable, memory foam style, perfect for our aching backs! Water pressure and temperature in the bathroom was better than the last 3 NYC hotels I've stayed in. Breakfast was mostly pre-packaged pastries and cereal, although bagels, fruit, and hardboiled eggs were also available. Dinner and drinks across the street at Pourman's was solid. Ask the front desk about discounts! Don't come here expecting a fancy new impersonal hotel and you won't be let down. We didn't get a chance to meet the owners, but they are clearly very personally invested in this property, which is a welcome departure from the big chains. Rates were completely reasonable. I'm already planning on a return trip in warmer weather!
