It wasn't the cleanest, but livable. We wanted to check in a little early but were told there would be a $20 fee. Breakfast was just okay and not enough seating we brought our food to the room

So at first glance the place is not as appealing and some things in the room could use some updates (shower curtain was yellow like it has been bleached too many times) and the shower handle was loose and hard to maneuver but everything else was very nice! Front staff were very helpful and friendly! The breakfast was great and they were always on top of it every morning! Surrounding area is a little sketchy but around very convenient being by the highway. Overall, enjoyed our stay and would be back to this place in the future as far as affordability. So glad we didn’t stay in downtown LA.

The area felt unsafe to me. There is no place to eat. The Denny's across the street is temporarily closed and the hotel only serves breakfast. The front desk person sent us to a restaurant a few blocks away for a late dinner, but it was only a drive-through that late. It was scary walking down there and back. I don't recommend this place for people who are nervous in bad neighborhoods. But it's in a great location if you're departing from the port the next day. Breakfast was good, too.
