This was my first visit to Wiesbaden and stay at this lovely Hotel and overall I was not disappointed. After hearing great things about this place from my partner (this was his 3rd stay at the hotel) I was keen to find out what all the fuss was about. We arrived on the Friday afternoon and and was greeted by the friendly reception staff who were happy to park our car for us during our stay. They have a car park near by which for 25 euros a night (a tad expensive) your car is safe and away from the outdoor elements- yes we did have snow on the last night and glad we didn't have to clear that off before the journey home. The hotel accomodation was lovely. The room was clean and tidy and away from the noise outside. Our room overlooked the courtyard which was nice and quiet. We made full use of the natural spring pool and the sauna and steam room which were located in the basement of the hotel and was very relaxing and nice to go to when you had been spending time outdoors all day at the markets. We spent some time in the hotel bar there which was lovely. It had a nice atmosphere with the piano player there making it feel like you had stepped into a scene of an old movie and the staff were very welcoming. I thought that the hotel reception staff were totally on the ball when it came to any requests that we had. They even had our car ready outside on the last day for us when we was checking out! Overall I would highly recommend staying here. The location was great for getting to the markets and a lovely place to stay especially for the time of year that we went.
The hotel is well located and the building it’s quite interesting but everything else don’t worth the price . First , we received a bedroom that was in front of the main street and really noisy so we already have to ask to change rooms . Than we received a really small ones wich was really dark but at least it was quite . The breakfast was not really good for the price . If you want fresh orange juice you have to do it by yourself . For a breakfast that cost 50 euros it is not really nice .Croissants were not really good . Coffee was really bad . they charge us 150 without even telling us for smoking in the bedrooms . It’s true we smoke one time at the window , paying attention it was outside . There was a lot of other peoples smoking at the window . That s really not fair . We also had and electric problem at two in the morning and we had to call three times that they come to fix it . We had no lights for 30 minutes. They were saying constantly that we have to switch on the lights like we are some idiots . I had to raise my voices to make them come to my rooms to fix it. And of course it’s not so nice that get dressed at night. Of course not even excuses . We have travel all over Europe in different radisson but it’s the first time we had such a bad experience .
Old and a bit tired property, which absolutely did not border me. The rooms are pretty nice, spacious and clean. Responsive stuff, stable WiFi, good choice breakfast, nice heated pool and Spa area. The location is central, walking distance to all sightseeing’s and main shopping streets. PS Change your manual old styled fresh orange juicer, which looks stylish, but is absolutely impractical and useless, besides you don’t want your guests to have a freshly squeezed orange juice during breakfast.
The best of the best is here. Outstanding staff, the best breakfast, centrally located in the town. Excellent, clean rooms. We were near the Christmas Market and only a few blocks from a large parking garage. Everything was perfect.
What a disgusting way to take money of your guests daylight robbery Water down orange juice small over cooked bacon cut offs small dried sausages just very bad not what you would expect from this type of establishment don’t wast your time or money for breakfast
The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. Overall it is a beautiful hotel. I had two issues. First was my room faced the front street which was both noisy at night (people signing, car horns, etc) and noisy early morning (street sweepers, garbage trucks, taxi cabs, car horns, etc). I asked if I could switch rooms after little sleep the first night. I was told no, the hotel was full. Second, I was traveling with two other business colleagues, we all made reservations at the same time. When we arrived, my two other colleagues had breakfast included in there room rate. I did not. when I asked why not. I was told because I was in a premium room. I stated that breakfast was preferable to me over a premium room. I asked to change to a non-premium room and have breakfast included in my room rate. I was told I could not. By the way; I was inside both colleagues rooms and they were identical to my "premium" room. The hotel bar was very nice. The spa swimming pool with naturally heated water was wonderful! The Sauna was wonderful! Despite the lack of managers attention and (lack of) honesty by the front desk staff, This is a beautiful hotel, convenient to the old part of town and I would stay here in the future.
I was reticent about not staying at the Hotel Nassauer Hof, but relied on reviews to select the Radisson Blu. I even looked beyond the Radisson name in hopes that this would be an aspiring higher end hotel. I learned that i should have trusted my instincts. In a few words: older, slightly tired property, in an excellent location, greatly understaffed and undertrained. No bellman, no parking valet, virtually no on-site parking, unresponsive, slow service, Manager Hedge Lutters unavailable or shielded by staff, A couple of brief anecdotes: we are staying for the week in a 2 BR suite and rented a car for a day trip or two. We parked in one of the 4 or 5 spaces in front of the hotel. We were greeted by no one on arrival. Unpacked our own car of a weeks' worth of luggage in the rain and hauled it to the reception desk. When we tried to use our car it was blocked in by other cars and no one inside would help us get out. No one. 20 minutes past and we were late for our appointment before someone leisurely moved the car in front of us with no apology. When we returned, of course, no spaces were available, so i was told they no longer had a Valet and that i must park my car blocks away in the Casino garage, which took my over 20 minutes to find it, find a space, and walk back in the cold. Notice the website offers Laundry Express ( 3 hour service ) on all laundry. Beware. Over 24 hours has passed and i have made 3 calls trying to get possession of my laundry and they are "still looking for it" and hope to "find it tomorrow". Untrained bar staff has twice brought me a Cabernet when i have ordered a Sauvignon Blanc ( which i have pointed out are actually different colors, ha). The bar area, Bar 1484, is nice. Sadly i could provide other little mishaps from our stay and the week is not even over yet. The hotel is in a great location and has a very good breakfast. Housekeeping has been fine. I really wanted to like this property but its points of failing are the result of management refusing to adequate provide sufficient number of staff and to adequately train those that it does hire. I am being generous to give this hotel 3 Stars. Next time we will stay at Nassauer Hof.
This was my second time at the hotel and the experience was as good as it was 2 years ago. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is varied and nicely laid out. Service is not perfect, just ok: slow to action simple request but it can also be a little crowded. Business suite on the 5th floor is excellent, light and has a nice view. Service is excellent there. Overall, I like this hotel however there was room for improvement on my first visit, and there is still room for improvement today. Allow plenty of time for checking in and checking out (this has not improved)
We have just returned to Ireland after a five-night stay in this beautiful hotel. We wish to say a sincere thank-you to the exceptional Reception Staff for the warmth of our welcome. We also wish to thank the Dining Room Staff for their superb breakfasts, and to the Housekeeping Staff for their sterling work.We also loved the Pool and Spa areas. We hope to return again in the near future.DANKE SCHON!
Schwarzer Bock is a wonderful hotel with beautiful architecture in its 1486 bar, dining and breakfast rooms. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. The Badhaus is modern and serene with its sauna and steam room and pool and lounging area. But what makes this hotel really special is the friendly and caring staff who will make sure you are treated super. If you want a treat you must meet Mr. Dieter Ege who knows this business inside and out and will leave you always satisfied, smiling and laughing. My 5 star recommendation!
