This is a lovely old spa hotel and still has a swimming pool with naturally heated spa water-so take your bathing costume if you're a swimmer and dont miss out on this lovely pool which is free for guests at the hotel to use. The room was very spacious and the bathroom too.All very clean and tidy , with adequate wardrobe space and in-room safe.Rhis was about the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in and our room looked in the way so no street noise(but also no view if you feel that is important-personally I'd rather have a good nights sleep). The bed wasvery comfortable. Breakfast was great. I onl had cooked breakfast once ad it was excellent, but if you are a vegetarian I can honestly say I've never seen such an array of different muesli, dried and fresh fruit in any hotel I've been in.They also have a great array of milk at different fat levels and soya milk too.In the corner different sausages ,meats, breads ,cakes and pastries . We didn't eat any other meals here-but if breakfast was anything to go by it would be excellent.Service was very good in the breakfast room. We found the front desk staff friendly , some more chatty than others but none were less than helpful. There are great restaurants and bars just a short walk from the hotel , and plenty of historical buildings around(including the hotel itself).Literally across the road is a hot spring pool which the locals paddle in at the edges-be careful , it is very hot!!
A nice place to stay with very attentive staff and a excellent breakfast menu. Functions (2) held during the conference were very well catered for. Single room, very clean but a little small. Had 70 channels on the TV, only 2 in English (BBC News and Stock report channel) would of liked a couple of channels with movies in English
Good clean room of a good size overlooking the central square in the hotel, a little noisy early on but fine later. Really nice breakfast with good coffee. Nice pleasant staff. Would like to be there not on business
I stayed at the Radisson Blu for three months while working in Germany. The bets in this hotel are the most comfortable I have ever experienced. I'd love to buy one for my home if I could figure out the brand. In addition the bedding was marvelous. The rooms were spacious, I stayed in two different rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you want to good night sleep.
We spent one night in this hotel. All interesting places of the city can be reached comfortably by walking. The romms are clean and modern furnished. The staff at the reception desk was endeavoured but on this day a bit overstrained.
The Schwarzer Bock is a hotel with a long history in a city that was a spa town, catering at one time to the leisure class. The city still has its spas and casinos, but also much more to see, including beautiful parks, churches, and government buildings (it is the capital of the "Land" [State] of Hesse). The hotel is located on the edge of the pedestrian zone and is within walking distance of most attractions. The staff were very helpful, and the rooms, although a bit cramped, were very comfortable. The beds were wonderful. A good choice.
The Schwarzer Bock is a great place to stay. Dieter was welcoming and gave the hotel loads of personality. The staff are unusually hospitable. Our room was spacious. The spa is good, though not large. The other key feature of the hotel is its history- the bar and the history of the hot springs are what I enjoyed the most.
Stayed one night and would have liked it to be longer. Hotel supposedly the oldest hotel in Europe dating back to 1486. Originally built to take advantage of the hot mineral springs, baths. In the center of downtown Weisbaden and convenient to shopping and restaurants. Hotel staff very helpful regarding explaining the history of the hotel and showing some of our tour group members some of the historic rooms that were not open at the time we were there. Breakfast and Dinner were good.
I spent four nights in a very pleasant room. The A/C was good as it was very hot this summer. I enjoyed the breakfast each day served in a very nice space including outside seating. There was a Nespresso machine in the lobby in the evenings and some mornings as well. The staff was very pleasant. It was very close to the pedestrian streets of the old town. I would go back.
This is an amazing place. Not only is it full of history it has kept up with modern service. They take pride in the way the hotel is presented and the rooms are spotless. The attention to detail in the service only one of the many details that makes the hotel one of the best.
