The tub had gross rust built up inside. Everything else was okay, I guess. $50 for a room you don't want to shower in is not cool.

Can't beat the price and for a cheap hotel it was good. Pool was nice, beds were clean and comfortable, breakfast was limited. Building is showing its age.

It was ok bed, the room needs some updates, tub, the carpet was wet near the vanity. Overall for the price, I just needed a bed for 8 hours and it worked for me.

This hotel is located on the highway at the end of a row of hotels. Though older and showing some signs of wear and tear, it was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed three nights in three different rooms. One room flooded (frozen pipes - due to the temps?), and the heater went out in one room. However, there was no problem switching rooms due to these problems. Also, coffee pot in room should not be understood to mean that there will be coffee or coffee cups in the room.

The HVAC system in my room wuld not heat. When I contacted hotel staff, they did nothing to correct the problem.

Great value for the money. Room was clean and all facilities in working order.

Room was falling apart. Staff was less than helpful. Also, everyday house keeping would open the door without announcing themselves and say "oh you are staying still?" ... And overall bad experience even for the low price.

My son and I are working at Sheppard Air Base and chose this hotel because of value . On the third day we got back to the hotel after work and were approached before we could get parked by a man wanting to argue over the parking space . As he got closer tje gun under his shirt was clearly visable . We drove away and came back to park away from our room only to discover the gunman was placed in the Handicap room adjoining our room . They did not seem to care who heard them dividing up drugs . Aittle while later a group of people arrived and you could easily hear the deals going down . An hour or so later all left and did not return . Then around 8 oclock I went to get ice from machine and was approached by a man who asked if I could help him as he had lost his room key . I explained that the office could help him but he insisted I show him where the office was . I pointed to the office and went in my room and closed the door and locked it . I had gone to the lobby for three days prior to get donuts coffee and juice for myself and my son . I was questioned if I was staying at the hotel by a woman who had seen me previous days getting breakfast and asked my room number . We packed our luggage and went to a different hotel and will not return to Travelodge , EVER !! Value isn't everything when your safety in in question . This hotel should not be reccomended by any online booking services !!

We were looking for a low cost room, and we found it. We got an exceptional value. I almost didn't book with this hotel, due to the reviews. However, after staying here only one night, I would recommend it based on value. The room was clean. The only complaint could possibly be stained grout in the bathroom, but it was not dirty. The beds were hard, but we slept okay. The staff was accomodating, although far from generous or friendly, but I think it's a cultural difference. There is a train track near the hotel, but after noticing it the first time, we were not bothered by it. On the whole, it was perfectly ordinary, clean, and didn't cost much.

The hotel is difficult to find and the staff did not greet the customers. The avoided eye contact and did not respond to the room request (first floor room). The breakfast was unstocked and they only offered milk and cereal. The pool was particularly dirty, actually disgusting. There were crickets and other bugs in the water. It was dirty to the point my 6 and 4 yr old refused to swim in it. The room was not well cleaned with hair in th toilette and grimme in the tub. One of the worst hotels ever!!

Place was okay for a quick stopover, but nothing special. Price was really low so it was worth it.

The pool was not open despite the temperature being in the 90s and the hotel fell short on the promise of a work out room, there was none. It is located in what is considered by locals as the "bad part" of town. Everything is sort of run down and unattractive looking. Despite the uncomfortable bed, keeping me up each night was the sound of a train passing by almost on the hour each hour. The staff were always on the phone when I had a request and would look at me expectantly as if I should just begin to talk at them while they are listening to someone else. Overall, the hotel was a place to sleep and the air conditioning worked which was a plus. The continental breakfast consisted of an orange or banana and a cup of coffee. The review stands at a 2/5 because it really does need that special something.

As I went into my room, the light switch did not work. Toilet also did not function properly. It clogged up twice. Notified the staff, they did not seem to care much.

This was my first time at the Travel Lodge in Wichita Falls. The check-in was quick and courteous. The room was quaint. This hotel is one block over from the Interstate going into WF. It was very quiet and peaceful.

I visited friends in town and had a very clean and comfortable place to stay every night

The staff was friendly and that was it. The heater was not working, there was no hot water in the shower, one lamp was not working and no TV remote. Staff was helpful to make the waffle but it tasted doughy and salty. If you want friendly staff and nothing else then this is your hotel.

I was visiting my husband at sheppard for 6 days. The hotel's ice machine did not work, ever. The maid walked in on me twice, once while I was naked. My bed sheets were never changed. I had to bring my own trash to the maid to dump. The walls were paper thin, I could hear the high schoolers next door pretty much any time they opened their mouths. The internet did not work. It would disconnect you every few seconds. The desk man did not speak english, even less so on the phone. Also the cofee package stuff was opened prior to my arrival.

Stopped on the way home (Greeley, Co) My wife got a bedbug.

well when we got there the front personal was nice, we got to the room and saw 3 big roaches we had to kill and I beleive you would call the smaller ones greman roaches. There where drity ashtray's with butt's in them and tub was not very clean. was afraid to try coffee maker with roaches crawling around room. and was unable to use safe in room and, telephone was not plugged in and I plugged in to use and front desk did not answer early in morning to help use the safe so had to carry my stuff with me and I stayed there friday night and saturday night . I also made sure to not put anything on floor and kept lights on to keep a look out for the roaches. killed two in bathroom and one by phone....

The room was decent - a good place to sleep and shower. The staff could have been a little friendlier however it could have just been a bad day for them. I would recommend this to someone for a quick trip and if I am in Wichita Falls again I probably would stay there [...]
