Chose this hotel for its location outside of Indianapolis. Nice clean room, nice area. Breakfast choices were ok. When I informed the receptionist of a problem in the bathroom at check-out, the response was "indifference." Not an apology or comment of any kind. As a Hilton brand, I stay because of an expectation of customer service. It was missing here. A bit overpriced for the location.
My husband and I travel a lot and stay in hotels all over the world. We were driving back to Chicago after 9 hours in the car. I'm allergic to down feathers and therefore need synthetic pillows. At 9 pm I realized I had all down pillows. I called front desk and she was to check to see if they could accommodate me. She never called back and I had to lay towels over pillows though still woke up with itchy eyes and extreme congestion. I'm more upset she dropped ball. I won't stay in another Hampton inn if I have alternatives.
Husband and I stayed at this hotel the night of April 21. Had some points for a free night, we were joking that they must have given us their worst room because it was free…… I had read some of the negative reviews on this hotel but most were positive so we made the reservation. It really is too bad our experience was so bad because the hotel is new and not near interstates so nice and quiet. It’s interesting too that the rate is $175/night because it’s in the Zionsville/Carmel area – might as well stay at a Red Roof Inn for that kind of money when the room is this poor?! - As soon as we arrived, I noticed long black hair on the floor near the tub. Started looking around and hair was everywhere. It looked as if the floor had not been cleaned in some time. - Found hair in the tub and in the sink. - Husband found a hair on the bed when he turned it back. - I found a long black hair on my bath towel. - The carpet in the bedroom area was lint-y as if it was never vacuumed. - One of the lamps by the table had been smashed and had no lightbulb in it. - The hallways smelled sewer-y. My husband is in the building business and said it must have something to do with ventilation and the elevator shaft, because the sewer pits are usually located under/near the elevators. (Looking through the reviews on trip advisor, another guest complained of this 11/12/14 (and another 9/10/14) – are the managers of the hotel (or the Hilton chain) checking reviews?!) - As mentioned in previous reviews, the elevator was also very, very slow. - The room grossed us out so much, we didn’t go near the free breakfast. The heading of an 11/2/16 review says it all – worst stay at Hampton: Poor housekeeping, maintenance, & management. We will not be back and it’s too bad because the location is great for an area we consistently go to. Hilton – are you paying attention?
Very clean, friendly, nice rooms, and great continental breakfast (egg and cheese omelette was delish!) We have stayed over 5 times at this location because of newness and located near our Daughter and Son-in-law!
This property is neat, clean, well-managed and so convenient with the included hot breakfast every morning. Free parking is nice, too. It is convenient to get to from main roads and lots of restaurants, gas, grocery shopping nearby.
We stayed here for a local dance competition. The front desk staff was just amazing. So nice & welcoming. I had trouble with my card & they were so nice & understanding. Our room seemed fairly cleaning when we first entered but upon further inspection was not. The stuff in the ROOM I will look past & not mention as it is so minor. But the bathroom was very gross. As if it hadn't been cleaned since the last guest or maybe even before that. The outlets didn't fit the hold in the wall & made me nervous plugging the hair dyer into. The food at the buffet was hot & had a large selection. The breakfast attendant was also a delight. The lobby is large, & pool is clean. They even let us practice dances in the spare space in the evening & we were so grateful. My only complaint besides the bathroom was the elevators. They are SO slow. Overall, I would probably stay here again, in hopes this review & the others on here will help their housekeeping staff.
Stay was comfortable and location convenient. It was nice to have complimentary breakfast that is available at 6 AM. The food was delicious with planty of choices. The bathroom was not cleaned after previous guest - toilet sit was dirty with feces and dry urine spots on the floor. The bathroom curtain was also very dirty. Had to ask cleaning lady to clean and to change curtain.
I had made 2 online reservations. Each had self inflicted errors. The person checking us in corrected both errors with no issues. Amazing customer service and experience. Someone who actually cares about their customer. Breakfast good. The room was clean. The king bed rooms with microwave and a fridge that holds more than a bottle of water is nice.
My standard is bed #1, shower #2, coffee #3. All are great. My only recommendations, speed up the one work elevator and tell whoever was banging stuff at 4:50am, STOP! Sounded like someone dropping 40 lb boxes and then metal tubs.
For a relatively new Hampton Inn, this one was built on the cheap side. The slowest elevators on the planet and cheap stick built construction, every step taken on the room above can be heard. This is not like the older Hampton Inns with concrete floors.
