Nordic Village Resort

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

I made the mistake of waiting just within 3 weeks of school vacation in Feb to book for three nights. I paid 3-4 star hotel rating for a barely acceptable 1-2 star rating. Very cheap accommodations with bed sheets not even fitting the king size mattress. There were so many little things that were not right. Light bulbs out, and food left on the balcony from the previous resident. The onsite indoor pool was the only saving grace. The kids loved the pool which was over crowded every day.

We have been going to Nordic Village, since the 1990's and it was always good. But since it changed ownership everything has gone down hill. The units need updating as it's very outdated, the grounds are not kept up and are in need of repairs. When we were there last week the driveways were a sheet of ice and no one came to put salt on them and my whole family was slipping trying to walk to our car. The staff use to be very friendly and helpful and now not so much. For what they charge per night things should be fixed. The rec center now only has a pool table and tennis table which half of the things were broken and you couldn't use them. No more children's activities during nh vacations. I would not recommend this place as this was our last visit.

Sadly this will not be a good review. I have stayed at NV for years now. Always enjoyed the rooms, the views and the hospitality. This time around though it was so disappointing. I am not taking anything away from the staff here, I must say they have ALWAYS been great and that continues. My complaint was the room I was given. I was at NV for the Journey to the North Pole. For what I paid for the room, I dont feel I got any value. The bathroom had peeling wallpaper, WiFi did not work, the queen bed was slanted to the point you could roll off the the box spring was pretty much disintegrated on one side, no linens for the pull out sofa, horrible pillows, noisy, loud neighbors with the thin walls. I chose NV for my past experience and happiness with them, I could have stayed in much closer hotels/Inn for the North Pole for LESS money and maybe I should have.

Room had a fireplace and balcony with gorgeous view -very comfy room but spacious

We had a geat time for the Thanksgiving weekend. Kids went swimming in the outside pool and they even got to see santa that night. The rooms are Ok they do need to do some updating on them. We have been going for years now and I think the rooms are still the same.

Great first time experience. Will be staying here again.

We had an amazing time. The penthouse room was charming and romantic, we absolutely loved it and would go back again.

excellent location , very nice view, wish to stay few more days there.

This was a great weekend get away. The hotel is actually a condo with kitchen, living room with a fireplace and deck. The outdoor pool and hot tub were great!

This was our first trip to the area and wanted to explore the natural areas but had a 5 and 8 years old along and knew we would have limited time to do this. We wanted a location that would be convenient to amusement park (in this case Story Land) but could visit Mt. Washington etc. This location was perfect. The room was a nice and very clean apt with everything we needed, staff was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay. We will return.

We used the pools and all the amenities we had a great time was close to all the other activities we were doing also. the only thing was no fry pan or sauce pan in the UNIT made it tough for me to cook. The staff is fantastic and we will go back as long as the prices do not rise. Great place great staff and great amenities!!! I could have called the desk but I made due with what was there.. Fantastic VIEW also and we loved it. I can not wait to go back again.

Lodging was quiet , comfortable ,clean and good view . Enjoyed our stay very much !

This was our third stay at Nordic Village. We picked the 2 bedroom condo (which is really a townhouse-style condo - mud room at entrance, one bedroom and kitchen and living room on main floor one level up and a loft-like master on the third floor up a spiral staircase). Really very nice - good set up with kitchen wares, washer/dryer and dishwasher, plus full fridge and stove. Our kids are 3.5 and 5.5. Probably wouldn't have worked for is if they were littler - the stairs would have made me nervous since we were sleeping a floor away (we still blocked them with an arm chair and coffee table during the night in case of late-night wakeups or sleepwalking). But otherwise great lodgings, plus balcony with lovely mountain views. Pools were also great - this was the first year kids were still awake after a busy trip to Storyland to try them out! And we went to some of the family activities - bonfire, meet Cinderella and friends (hint: bring S'mores materials). We'll stay again for sure next trip to Storyland. All in all, glad we opted for the extra space (I was surprised it was only an extra $10 or so for or travel dates).

Was great location... Only issue was the air conditioning did not work well, room needs upgrading!

Love the location, the pools, playgrounds, activities and grounds. The room was fine: clean and well-furnished. I wish it was more than just a portable AC, and that it had a washer/dryer like other rooms. But the front desk was very helpful when I called b/c the fan in the bedroom was broken, and someone brought a new one within a few minutes even though it was after dinner.

It was great. Pool Was great. Room was clean with everything you could need and there was a great view of the mountain.

Loved the place but was upset storyland was closed that day and wouldn't open for three days till weekend so all in all was a great time

Whenever I am in the area I always stay at Nordic Village. Situated on the side of a mountain, this hotel offers spacious condos to fit the whole family! Only complaint is that the decor/furnishings in the units are a bit outdated.

Awesome vacation getaway! Stayed here for a long weekend and everything was perfect. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Its the perfect location if you want to be near the Outlets but still want the quietness of the mountains.

We went to Nordic Village for our anniversary, and had a fantastic time. We swam in the 18 + pool and did lots of sight seeing in the surrounding area. The room was clean and very cozy! The bed was really comfortable. Overall we would definitely go again!
