Eastgate Inn

We are from Toronto, and we spent the New Year's Eve and the New Year's Day in this motor inn. The room is very clean and comfortable, and the hotel manager is very kind and helpful. We asked him to print our ski tickets and he did it for us without any hesitation. Before we left the hotel, he filled our bottles with hot water so that we did to have to drink cold water on road. He recommended us to visit the Ice Castle in a nearby town, which turned out to be very nice. In a word, this is an excellent Motor Inn.

While the gentlemen working did meet me at 11:30 upon arrival, be sure to call ahead to ensure you can get your room later than 10pm. Time frame is common for the area

Found the room good for 1 or 2 people. Had basic necessities, and right off the highway. Surroundings are quiet and restful. Breakfast was minimal but sufficient. Room was clean.

Do not give the owner your money. Was amazingly rude and threatened to kick us out for having one visitor at around 7 pm. Yelled at us for having her in the parking lot/ room before going out to dinner. Yelling at me for being a bad person and wanted to call the cops on us. Very extremely rude. I would recommend no one should stay.

The Eastgate Inn was clean, conveniently located, and the staff was very accommodating.

We were well received by the office staff...however, we would have appreciated the windows to be opened during the night for air, luckily, the weather was warm enough to open the back door/screen door most/night. The location of motel was our main reason for staying there. Lastly, the upgrade was a nice surprise, thanks, L. Ferraro.

The rooms are very clean and tidy. They allowed us to have our 2 dogs in the room for a small fee. But the beds were hard as rock. We also got wakeup phone calls each morning at 4am set for the previous customers that were not disabled before we used the room. There is no staff available from 10pm-6am so we could tell them about the wake up calls. The motel did reimburse us some of our dog fee due to the inconviences.

Hotel probably built in 40s or 50s. They try to keep it up, and they did have some new paint on the outside but the rooms haven't been made over since the 70's. Staff very nice. Manager and wife worked very hard to make a nice stay. Manager even cooked the waffles for the self serve breakfast. Late check in (2 AM) was not a problem.

The motel is somewhat dated. The room was musty smelling on entry and the A/C rattled to wake the dead. After opening the room up and playing with the A/C we were able to spend a restful night. Breakfast was good - just the basics, but filled the need. Price was somewhat high compared ot other similar motels I've stayed. I have this feeling that I been here once in the '70s.

We found that the hotel was easy to find from interstate and the rooms clean. The breasfast was superb.

At $120 per night on Columbus Day Weekend, you could not beat the value! The room was very clean and the beds were OK, although a little small. Everything worked and we had free Wifi to boot! I would reccomend this motel!

I apologise that you were not happy with your stay .First of all, when we saw some wrong activities going on in the room.As you must be aware that it is a standard room for only one or two people allowed in the room but we saw one girl getting an air mattress in the room .That is the reason we had to come and explain you people that it is not allowed in our premises. and we had to see that we were not bothering the other guests staying at the property by seeing these activites going around.
