The Coast Blackcomb Suites at Whistler3.0 out of 5.0

Location, cleanliness, and amenities were great. Not addressing older drunk men bringing glass liqueur bottles to the pool, littering that area with empty beer cans, behaving in a manor that intimidates children and offends women can destroy a stay. Not telling us about the free shuttle to free parking so that the guest can choose what would amount to $24/night parking would have made up for the minimal breakfast options.
The hotel was great we wanted a quiet retreat weekend and that was delivered. The free breakfast swayed our decision but we will not fall for that next time ...remember you get what you pay for -frozen waffles, some fruit, a box of cereal, and bread brought from home would have competed with what was available. The parking at $24/night messed up any breakfast saving that could have been information that wasn't easily accessible from any information. Park in the Village free lots and catch the free bus to the hotel. The bus stops a few paces from the Resort's front door rendering the use of a car is unnecessary and the distance of this Hotel from the Village irrelevant. The pools and tubs were very warm and outside of the drunk grown men with littered beer cans, glass liqueur bottles and their invasive intimidating demeanor towards the ladies and children would have made the stay excellent -no management interference.
Very pleasant staff with all you need for a whistler getaway - bike locker, breakfast and nice clean room with comfy bed, kitchen and fireplace. It would also be good with families. Bus stops right at the door so access to the village is easy.
Rooms were spacious, kitchen, patio and fireplace. Complimentary breakfast and amazing outdoor heated pool and two hot tubs. Robes available. We were visiting off season. A little far from the village, however we had a vehicle so it was not a huge trouble, parking was additional though. There is a bus that runs every 30 mins into the village and back.
We spent a week in the Whistler area visiting family and relaxing. The suite was roomy, very clean and well stocked. Free continental breakfast to start the day off as well as a fitness facility, pool and hot tub if you please. They even provide a free bus shuttle down into the Village from the Suites for those who don't have vehicles that runs in a very timely fashion. A quiet setting out of the Village proper but close enough to take part in all activities. We will definitely book our next stay there!
Our room was clean, cozy and comfortable. It was nice being able to take our breakfast up to our room where it was much quieter. The hot tub was ok, would have preferred it a higher temperature, especially as we were in it at night in the cold. Staff were very pleasant. Having the free bus/shuttle to the village made having drinks and dinner very easy. No worries about parking or driving after a glass or two of wine. Would definitely stay here again.
great stay, good hotel. Swimming pool and hot tun are excellent, Breakfast is average, but ok. Rooms are great, bedding is good, staff is helpful. The location is excellent during winter months. Room service is great to have in this hotel (as most hotels do not have it on a day to day baiss).
Great family and pet friendly hotel. Friendly staff and excellent location. Suites warm and inviting. A little understand for Thanksgiving weekend and breakfast not run as well and something broken. Kids like it!
The alarm clock in the kids room went off at maximum volume at 2am waking up our entire family. I assume that the previous guests set the alarm as a joke. A very easy (and quite normal / common procedure) is for the room cleaners to turn off/reset any alarms each time the room is serviced to avoid this exact issue and ensure the best customer experience possible. I suggest the coast Blackcomb suites introduce this. The walls are so thin we could hear our neighbours and all the goings on outside. The beds are terribly hard and the sofa bed is absolutely horrendous, all bent and warped out of shape with every spring stabbing into your back. You would get a better sleep on the floor. Seriously. Pools and hot tubs are luke warm so didn’t bother trying them out. Positives.... it’s affordable. We still had a good stay and normally would give a place like this 3 stars but the alarm thing really pi$$ed me off.
We were not impressed and would not book again. The location inconvenient and the friendliness of staff is lacking. Free breakfast was way too busy and not enough staff. Ran out of muffins, fruit was way over-ripe no hot chocolate for kids and not worth the wait. We left and went into village for breakfast. Check out was not friendly either. Tried to comment about the stay and was completely ignored as if we didn't even say anything. Would not stay again or recommend.
