Great hotel staff. Very friendly and helpful. For example, type of tea I like was not out and they went into the back and found some for me. Decent beer selection at front desk and nice lobby to enjoy one in.
Not the best Hampton Inn. Could use a renovation. Premium internet was spotty. On a positive note, cat5 internet worked fine. Staff was friendly, rooms are clean. Solid hotel for a few nights. Convient!
We have tried a few places in the Pax river Area, and this is the best on so far. Courteous staff, very clean and well appointed rooms, nice breakfast, and clean pool as well. Thanks for a pleasant stay!
This hotel has excellent friendly service and I like the idea that they offer cold water to customers when they arrived on a hot day checking in. I like the idea of offering yummy soft chocolate cookies in the evening when I walked in after I'm done work after a long day. I like the idea of offering hot breakfast in the morning and free newspapers to read. I like the idea of offering a travel bag full of goodies when you check out. These nice amenities are the expectation and the difference that customers seek. While I agree that Hampton Inn is one of few better hotels in Southern Maryland, however, there are definitely room for improvement. For example, I was trying to sleep before midnight, but I can hear the entire conversation from the next room through the thin middle door that one could go between the two rooms if it is not locked. I would ask to change to another room if the hotel is not fully booked. Also, I found myself with skin rashes after I checked out the next day. I'm not trying to blame that Hampton is what caused my skin rashes, but I not ruling out on the idea that it is not. I certainly didn't like the fact that there is no separate sheet between the bed and the comforter. So not knowing if the hotel changes and clean the comforter for every customer, the rash could be coming from the bed that you could read all about from some the major metropolitan city newspapers. Lastly, with the hotel fully booked, I found myself circling around the parking lot trying to find a spot after one late night coming back to the hotel. These are a few fixes that could help improve themselves,
While the hotel is situated nicely, and was convenient for most activities in Southern Maryland. The hotel's offerings and amenities leave much to be desired. The breakfast was near inedible (usually one of the great features of Hampton Inn), and because of the water hardness it was near impossible rinse any soap off of your persons. The water hardness also resulted in very low traction in the tub, which did result in some falls from my little ones. I feel the hotel has become complacent and does not strive to meet the normal Hampton Inn standards
Great hotel there were two wedding groups there when we were there! they took care of us! Especially the gentleman handling the breakfast! he made sure every guest was satisfied we never ran out of food! The ladies got us sheets for our sofa bed at 10pm so quick i dont even know if the phone hung up!!! this hotel coordination and management was so well put together that we only new the guest were there for the wedding by talking to them! there was no waiting! no complaints and the atmosphere was so friendly and relaxed! Great Hotel!
Customer service excellent. Rooms and hallways in the process of unfinished remodeling. Location is convenient for visiting Solomons Island. If you like firm mattress this maybe your ideal hotel room.
Arrived to welcoming staff, clean rooms, and comfortable bed! The usual complimentary breakfast fare, eggs, ham, potatoes, oatmeal, cold cereal, etc. Very quiet on the 3 rd floor, even with a wedding party downstairs and guests spread out over the property. Staff was most helpful with all our questions and seemed anxious to help. Would definitely return here!!
Stayed 2-weeks at Hampton Inn, Lexington Park, MD while enrolled in a DoD class nearby. Staff always friendly, good in-hotel breakfast (complementary). Stay was quiet, despite being across from Gate 1 of Pax River Naval Air Station. One thing, when leaving the hotel and going north, take the access road at the rear of the hotel which takes you to a side street and a traffic light, allowing a left turn going north.
This hotel lives up to my expectations of what a hotel should offer. Cleanliness! And a free breakfast bar. The staff are top notch and very helpful. Easy to find location with plenty of restaurants close by. Attended granddaughters graduation at St Mary's College.
