Of course the West Coast National Park is extraordinary and we went several consecutive days. And the Farmhouse Hotel to us was the perfect place to stay, though I have a comment below regarding our reservation. We had Room 14 and it was perfect to us, clean, not fancy, though the shower could use a little overhaul at some point, but it was charming. The hotel is adorable and the setting is divine, with a view of the water and a lot of outdoor seating with fresh air and relaxing. We love the aroma of the fireplaces throughout, not overpowering, just an old world charm. The dining and breakfast areas are lovely and our dinner, grilled hake and salad was good. Breakfasts were good and included. WiFi was excellent in rooms and common areas, including outside. Bed was a double and comfortable. We found most of the service to be exceptional. Elton at the front desk and sometimes helping with breakfast was professional and so friendly, and Dalene who serviced morning breakfast was full of energy, sharp, and always smiling, the dinner service by Loice was superb. What a smart, young woman. There are others, but during our four-day stay, we most interacted with this group. Now my comment. As we travel for many months, all of our booking is online and as we go at times. Our reservation was for a basic room at a good price with breakfast included and there was a notation that in our room we would likely hear noise from the kitchen at meal and prep times. In Room 14 we did hear noise a little, but it was faint and delightful, with laughter and sometimes singing. We liked it. But when we arrived at the hotel on a Sunday around noon, the front desk girl (NOT Elton) said there was no room at the main hotel and we were going to a hotel house that was down the street, which sounded strange. We said it wasn't what we had booked and she said there was no alternative based on the number of nights we had booked. She and another woman there were flippant and acted like it was tough. So later that day when check-in begins at 2:00, we went down to this house. Perhaps the rooms upstairs are good, but the room downstairs (Room 23) was awful. Yes, it was bigger than Room 14 at the hotel, but it smelled. It smelled like years of stale, horrid cooking smells. There were other things that we didn't like about it as well. So, we went back to the hotel and said we would NOT stay there. By that time, the manager and Elton were there, they did modify our reservation and gave us Room 14 at the main hotel, thankfully. If they hadn't, we would have left. So, just be aware of this. The manager explained that she needed to correct communications coming from the online booking companies. But regardless, with such an adorable old world hotel, we would never have stayed in such a smelly place down the street from this delightful hotel.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel with very comfortable beds. The breakfast and dinners are delicious and the staff are professional. We have been here many times..it is always a pleasant visit. thank you.

We are Langebaan locals visiting our beach cottage every couple of months. We have supported the Langebaan Farmhouse Hotel in all seasons. We arrived this past Sunday for breakfast only to be flippantly turned away. We were told only hotel guests would be served, as the hotel was full and they were short staffed. The ungracious and careless manner in which we were turned away felt inadequate and unacceptable. Even a cup of tea was out of the question. We were so disappointed by this experience.

What a wonderful small Hotel! Booked a room at The Farmhouse based on TripAdvisor reviews and will second what most reviewers have stated; Professional and friendly service, great breakfast!! and stunning lagoon views. Highly recommended. Will most certainly return.

Early morning breakfast getaway with friends. Although the variety is not very expansive, the quality is fantastic. Great setting and the interior is perfectly decorated in an 1860 feel. Food and service is of top-notch quality and will definitely visit this beautiful hotel again!

Stayed in the loft, if you tired and don't mind the noise from the reception below then this room is ideal. Very spacious, could have done with a bit more wood and only realised in the morning that there was a wall mounted heater. Staff are very friendly and helpful which makes any stay more pleasurable. The ox tail was superb Wifi is a bit iffy and not consistent. Overall, will come back!

We parked at the Farm house hotel to cycle through the West Coast National Park. Good experience, had lovely mussels as starters and ice cold wine. Good service and friendly staff. Awesome views and well situated .

We stayed here for a couple of nights on two occasions recently. Great location overlooking the lagoon, but not that easy to find without the help of a map, gps or google. Very comfortable rooms though the better class we had in one stay has a bath as well as a shower, if that's what you want. One drawback is that, while spacious, they rooms have very limited hanging and storage space for clothes - clash of good looks with practicality. All rooms have very good views on to the lagoon and there are wonderful sunsets. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed, though there is limited hanging and storage space, so pack carefully. The more expensive rooms have a bath as well as a shower - we stayed in both on different occasions. The food in the restaurant is very good. One thing to beware of is that service is slow, so it is beat to book a time, go to the bar or, if it is warm, sit on the patio, get a menu and order supper while you have a drink and watch the sun go down. They'll call you when I your dinner is ready. Breakfast, which was included, was very good, with a buffet and a range of cooked options. Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon was terrific and The Farmer's Son was a good small version of the full cooked breakfast.

Our fourth stay at the Farmhouse. This time for 3 x nights in a superior room (no 10) A mixed assessment of our stay this year but despite the shortcoming we continue to love the situation and the basic atmosphere that this 'olde worlde' hotel offers. A luke warm welcome at reception (ingoing and at exit) and thereafter a wide range of staff efficiency/friendliness. Perhaps too laid back at times and lacking in any visible management. Booked superior room because of the air con but upon arrival (on a very hot day in March) it did not work. Nor did we have a fridge in the room. Both were rectified very quickly. Nice room. full super sports coverage. OK bathroom/shower. Good bed/pillows. Ate in the restaurant in the evenings. Service again varied. Enjoyable food. Breakfast OK - good to see that food now covered to protect from the birds. Sadly the plate of fruit was swimming with ants. Wifi only in reception. Nothing here that could not be fixed with attentive and meaningful management.

What a beautifull hotel, the setting is just breathtaking with full views over the lagoon. Breakfast included and is really good. Overall the food was good, however the lamb curry should be avoided as it is not a true curry! Complaints on this fell on deaf ears? The rooms are well furnished, with modern and old charm furnishings. Staff are friendly but they can do with some additional assistance to speed things up. Overall, very nice stay and will definitely go back.
