Attended a family wedding here on Saturday never been before. Was a lovely venue had a fantastic day but want to give a big shout out to all the staff they all seemed happy very polite and the male mixologist on the night was fantastic my 11 year old neice was mesmerized watching him make her mocktails thedrinks were a reasonable price for a hotel as well staff here a credit to the place hope they get week looked after and a decent wage

Booked Saturday 10th of Feb for one night stay. Entrance to the hotel is very welcoming with an open fire, fresh water dispenser filled with fruit a nice touch at reception desk. Rooms are very clean and a good size very well designed with having a small lounge area. Mini fridge with water and milk a great little touch. Also has a coffee making machine thought it didn't dispense much coffee but the never really do. Food ordered to room was very nice with fast service. Pool, gym and sauna all very clean and the loungers around pool made for a relaxing time, however my only gripe was NOT being able to have a free coffee or fruit unless your a gym member or on a spa day..come on!! after paying £150 for one night. if your going to offer this service offer it to all regardless. I felt quite silly being then told no it's £1.80. Other than I can't fault rest of hotel which made for a very relaxing time enjoyed thoroughly and will be returning very soon.

I regularly stay in this hotel. It’s great quality and a really good location. The rooms are generally quiet. The hotel serves a really great quality breakfast that I value. The hotel is clean and of a pretty high standard. The bar snacks and meals are good but can be expensive.

Stayed at this place for two nights on a trip with work. Reception staff were great . Ate in the bar on first night and in the restaurant on second night. Food good both nights. Breakfast excellent. Also use the gym and spa as well.

My friend and i stayed here for one night on 27th January,we have both been before withour husbands but this time it was just us. 😊 We loved the massage we had and the staff in the hotel were so helpful and all seemed happy in their jobs which is very nice to see.Nothing seemed to be any trouble to them.The lady on reception was so lovely. The staff in the restaurant were unbelievably helpful in explaining the menu and a good wine to go with fillet steak one young lad in particular ( cant remember his name ) was fab deserves alot of credit.Even better we got late check out giving us a relaxing morning and a lie in having breakfast in our room too. Cant wait to return to this hidden gem.

Booked this hotel quite late on an Escape Offer. First visit and we have already booked our return stay. What a lovely hotel, we could not find fault with our stay. Lovely room, spotless clean and had a very new and modern feel. Lovely Spa facilities , great pool and relax area. Our room service was excellent and the Bar has an extensive Gin selection and we very impressed with how they were served. Highlight of the visit was the Breakfast! Great selection and quality and the staff were lovely- nothing was too much trouble. I didn’t manage to get the Managers name, but she was an absolute star! Looking forward to our next visit already!!!

Overpriced rooms which need work to bring them to standard. Tape on the heated towel rail. Woodwork splintered and cracked on all bathroom surfaces. Cobwebs left on headboard. Overly expensive hotel for what it is. I certainly won’t be staying again or recommending to anyone.

If you need a room for a quiet night with a good bed and all the basic needs fulfilled, this does the job. Anything beyond is quite an ask for this place and has made my experience not very convenient. There are many other hotels with the same level of quality available but that charge only half the price. So if I am not looking for luxury, I will stick to those to avoid the disappointment. Below you can read what brought me to that conclusion. The restaurant is geared up to churn out food as fast as possible, the atmosphere very clinical. We got tonight seat at 8.20 pm. At 9 pm staff started to rearrange tables, chairs, cutlery etc. for breakfast service, despite us and another table still eating. Later on, my espresso first came without sugar (when it finally came it was cold), then they realised I didn’t have a spoon. But I did not dare to ask for it, because it seemed like that would not be in line with their schedule. It’s like as if you don’t function exactly as the staff would want you to in order to keep their efforts to a minimum, they will make you feel it. Of course, I have not met all their staff and not tried all their services. But let me pick another example to illustrate my experience. When I only had a debit card to give to them at check in, it felt already like that was not the best start. In the restaurant, I was being offered that the bill could be charged to the room. Later on, back in my room, I was being called down (necessary if you want to get a receipt) for payment). So I got back down to the restaurant. The receipt was not a proper bill, but the receipt of payment, the second version was missing gratuity, the third version (I was now debating with a different waiter) missing some drinks from the bar etc. Lastly, the keycards don’t seem to work. I had to go back to reception twice to reprogram it. And I am well aware that I am not supposed to carry them next to my phone in my pocket. I would hope this place will get back to higher service levels from at least a year ago and even before that.

We have been regulars at this hotel for 14 years and are dismayed to see how it has gone downhill. It used to rank number 1 of hotels in Leeds on Tripadvisor. After our stay this weekend, as loyal regulars, we are disappointed at the indifference of the manager we spoke to today as a result of issues we had with the restaurant. Reservations and reception are as good as ever, the rooms are still comfortable but what has happened to the food? The food in the restaurant, which has always been excellent was bland and disappointing. There were very few alternatives on the specials menu compared to usual. The longstanding favourite always on the menu, the duck salad, was of minute proportions compared to usual. But worse than dinner was breakfast. This has always been high quality and absolutely lovely, but not this time. There were some worryingly familiar looking mini pastries. Familiar not from previous stays but from our local Tesco. I buy these regularly for my son and do not expect to see them on offer at such a hotel. The sausages, previously of good “locally sourced” quality were small and thin and obviously cheaper. We always look forward to the made to order pancakes but despite being at breakfast a good half hour before it finished,we were told they had run out. The hotel was very quiet compared to usual and running out of food was something we have never experienced there before either. It all smacked of imitating the previous quality on the cheap. On check out, we chatted about these issues with the very pleasant receptionist who was sympathetic and suggested we speak to the food and drinks manager. We needn’t have bothered. He disputed the pastries were from Tesco (but they are IDENTICAL, must be the same supplier somewhere), talked a lot about his “vision” and that he was “going back to basics” with the food. He said there hadn’t been any other complaints about the food. He offered nothing more than his visions and the old favourite meaningless management phrase “going forwards”. What did he actually do for us going forwards? He wrote it down. We always give credit where it is due and there are 2 previous reviews of this hotel where we have done exactly that and we have stayed there regularly since. We have another booking in a couple of weeks which thankfully, is a flexible booking as after such a disappointing experience in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast, why would we risk it again?!
