The rooms are small but pleasant. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The wifi is good. Check they are not having a very loud party in the area immediately underneath the rooms! The hotel is opposite the station and a short walk to the town centre and market, It was good value for money.

Right in the centre of Halifax, between Eurka and the Piece Hall. Car park is a bit tricky and a short walk away, and there is no lift, but the rooms are equipped to a very good standard despite being rather small. The dinners are very good but the breakfasts are served rather than a buffet. Good value however and very helpful and friendly staff.

This is the second time at the hotel, been a few changes but still the same hospitality. The heating wasnt working but the hotel had provided heater so it didnt effect our stay. We were there for 2 nights and the 1st night i was disturbed by the people above us! Coming in at 3.30am! The second night no problems. Its close to all amenities and opposite the railway station. It could do with an update as the carpets are looking very worn! And the rooms need an upgrade, im sure they could charge more if the hotel was much improved. The bar area is very cosmopolitan and dosent go with the rest of the hotel. I would stay again but would welcome a much needed update.

Stayed for two nights at short notice for a family event, arriving late at night. Staff were excellent, welcoming and accommodating, especially late-night bar staff, and also the lady serving breakfast, who graciously put up with my changing my mind several times! Room 203 was comfortable and very spacious. Quite cold, but actually that suits me anyway, and there’s a heater if you want it warmer! No lift, but that’s because it’s a listed building, so none is permitted. All in all, clean & comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, great breakfast. Don’t expect 4-star facilities at this price, but all in all absolutely fine for the purpose.

excellant hotel close to downtown halifax and train station. staff very helpful especially danny who checked us in and advised us on all good watering holes in halifax! This was a trip I took with my son and was visiting halifax for the first time in 50 years ...I worked in halifax as a teenager in 1968-69. The Imperial Crown was an excellant base and will come back. seamus lundy

Stayed for 3 nights in Halifax with friends. The Imperial Crown is well positioned for both rail and bus stations giving the opportunity to visit a wide range of attractions in West Yorkshire. Breakfasts were hearty and cooked to order although on one day,the tomatoes were uncooked. Rooms are well appointed. The Sunday lunch deal is good, but unfortunately we almost missed out due to demand. However we were well looked after by Rick in the dining room. All staff were friendly and efficient and we were made to feel as if we had been honoured guests. Natalie on reception made this quite clear. Altogether a good experience.

Very friendly staff. Hotel is located in the middle of town and opposite railway station, with good free parking opposite. Pleasant bedroom might be slightly chilly for some (October) but we prefer that. Breakfast was very good. No complaints. Recommended.

Stayed for one night for family celebration in function suite. Reception staff very friendly. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Ate off bar meal menu on arrival which was very nicely presented. One wee disappointment at breakfast. When asked waiting staff for some ketchup with bacon butty apparently there was no ketchup to be had in the hotel...Hotel is in a good location and good value for money.

My second time staying at the Imperial Crown Hotel, I find the staff friendly and helpful and have a sense of humour which is great. I look forward to future bookings. The only downside was having no ice for my Scotch at I can live with that.

Went for the 3 course Sunday lunch deal at 13.95. If 2 people have the 3 course you get a free bottle of wine. At that time of the day we where the only people in but the food was excellent. Choice of 4 starters 4 mains and 4 sweet. Varied selections from all courses and served fresh with plentiful vegetables. Would go again as the staff rick was excellent. Drinks normal pub prices with bud light 3.50. Dining and bar area nice and welcoming
