My boyfriend bought us a visit to the spa with a treatment for my birthday on 5th March. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady who explained where the treatment rooms were and what the spa facilities were. We both booked the back massage which was amazing. The only downfall of our visit was that the hot tub wasn't in use which was the thing I was looking forward too most. The lady who greeted us gave us a contact card and said that we should email the address given and explain that the hot tub was not in use and that we would be welcomed back for a free visit. I received an email back apologising and they asked us for a date we would be able to return, this email was sent 3 weeks ago and was then not responded too and after 2 further emails I have still not heard anything back. I would have given the spa 5* if there were some form of communication back. Having said this, I highly recommend the spa it was a lovely chilled out day.
I cannot fault The Bridge for functions such as this. The menu was super and the carvery as delicious as it always is. This is very important for a vegetarian like myself who often feels like a second class citizen at a carvery. Thank you all.
Went on a Groupon deal....lovely spa with excellent professional staff. Some good facilities and the outdoor hot tub is great. Had lunch which was very good. Robes have seen better days and are one size which is not ideal changing room is also tiny and definitely not big enough. The facilities are good however it can be difficult using them if you have a lot of bookings and one of the footspa"s was broken on our visit. Treatment rooms were lovely and relaxing and the treatment and therapist was very good.
Just returned home today after my first visit to The Bridge Hotel and Spa. Although it had been recommended, I arrived still a little sceptical as the offer seemed too good to be true. But I should have had more faith in my friend. We were greeted warmly on our arrival, our room was beautifully presented with tea, coffee and biscuits and the spa was a lovely relaxing experience which included a soothing 'mud' treatment, an outdoor hot tub and cold dip, two saunas, a foot spa and a steam room. After enjoying all we headed to the quiet room where we lay on soft leather couches, covered with rugs and fell asleep to soporific music. Wonderful. Later we discovered the cosy bar and then onto the restaurant for a very tasty carvery and as a vegetarian, I was not disappointed. Breakfast too was a full range of hot and cold options; I enjoyed the range of dried fruit and nuts and the fresh croissants and my friend enjoyed her full English. All in all we had a really relaxing stay, helped by the efficient but very pleasant staff. My scepticism has been replaced by gratitude. So thank you to my friend for the recommendation and a big thank you to all at 'The Bridge.' I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
We stayed here just after Christmas after a day out at the races. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were very friendly and the room was lovely. The breakfast the following morning was absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be returning!
We stayed at this hotel for a two day break 19th & 20th Feb 2017 due to its location and TripAdvisor offer. We did not know what to expect but I must say this hotel surpassed all expectations. The food was excellent the room and staff were great. In all a really pleasant experience. We would definitely recommend this this hotel and we hope to return in the future.
We had our daughters Christening at The Bridge last Sunday. The room looked amazing and we had many compliments on the food. The waiter who looked after us could not of been more helpful. The only critisism was that when out guests arrived there was only one barman who had to go and get change and then change a barrel, so some of our guests were waiting 20 minutes to be served drinks. It would seem common sense to put more staff on the bar when you are expecting 38 people to arrive at once.
Everything about this was excellent. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the conference facilities exceptional, the rooms well appointed and attractive, the food absolutely brilliant, and the whole was extremely well priced. I shall definitely be returning for a leisure visit in the future, and I highly recommend this hotel.
We went to the Bridge Inn on a voucher deal for a lunch and spa afternoon. The lunch was a carvery with a choice of roast ham a roast cod or a ricotto. We both had the ham, it was excellent. The starters were were also first class. It is a nice restaurant with lots of character and good service. We had coffee in the comfort of the bar and then spent the afternoon in the spa. A great afternoon well doneto all the staff.
