Fast and friendly check in, parking area was busy, was given good advice about if going back out in the car what to do if we couldn't get back in again. Room was lovely and clean. Nice decor few splashes and stain that could've been wiped over. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom lovely an spacious and clean. Liked the separate toilet. Good location walking distance from Leeds main station and town centre. Had a nice stroll along the canal located outside. Would definitely be my choice to stay again if I return to Leeds anytime. Only down point room was noisy due to traffic.

All round great stay. Staff recommended some local places to go out for the evening, were friendly and really pleasant. There's a co-op a five minute walk away as well as a couple of bars. Room service pizza was a definite bonus after a heavy night!

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and that applies to reception, the bar staff and the waiting staff at breakfast. Customer service is excellent. The room was clean and beds were comfortable but I've marked it down for just being too small. The room is made for one or two at most. It's just a shame the family rooms aren't a little bigger. There is a small fridge in the room which was useful for keeping drinks and snacks cool. We did experience noise from other rooms during the night but we did not report it as it did not go on all night. The food in the bar is reasonably priced and tastes good. The kids meal is very good value. It was pleasant sitting in the bar in the evening, comfortable and fairly quiet. The boys enjoyed playing in the kids area which is a reasonable size though there's not a great deal to play with. It's in a very good location for walking to the city centre shops and restaurants within five minutes. Overall a good hotel, would probably stay again.

We came back for a double birthday celebration, mine and I wanted to treat my mum in law who birthday it also was. The bar area has slightly changed now sporting the 'Soap Factory' serving well priced snacks and food, staff were very friendly and helpful as before. After our last visit we got much better beds this time, which were more comfortable. Now I would have marked them as excellent apart from a little incident. Novotel offer online check in and fast check out, which I always do. When you do this you can put any requests and it also asks you when you intend to arrive. As we were traveling by train and arriving for lunch, at the very least we would want to drop off our bags and were not concerned if the room was ready or not, which in fact I put in my request. I also put that I was a light sleeper and that a room not near lifts. So when we arrived the room was not near the main lift, but they put us next to the service lift and the first thing that happened was a room cleaner came out with cages and banged straight into our room door, so I was frustrated that after my request we had been put there. So I rang down and explained that we had requested a room away from lifts, any lifts. I was confronted with 'well you wanted early check in and this was the only room' Well excuse me, firstly I did not request early check in, you asked when I would be arriving and I put in black and white that if the room was ready fine but it was not, this was not a problem as we were going straight out and only wanted to leave bags. She then said have you use anything in the room as we will have to clean it again, we had been there two minutes! and it was just the manner she asked as though this was my fault. She told me there were no more rooms, I said fine I will leave my bags with them. When I went to reception, again I was made to feel this was my fault, I explained again I did not request early check in and explained that the cleaner crashed into the door and a service lift is still a lift and worse as it carries all the equipment. She could not care less about this and I never once received an apology. I was not happy with the response I received and she should have been more apologetic not try and blame me for their failings. That said the hotel is perfect for our needs in Leeds and will stay again, perhaps I will try and make it extra clear on my requests, although only some one that was illiterate could fail to understand. The hotel should also know that my mum in law travels the country with her husband competing in sporting events, they were both that impressed with the hotel over the chain they normally use that they have joined the AccorHotels club and will be seeking out hotels from this group from now on.

My husband stays a lot in Novotels for work so we stay often to use up points! You can always rely on them, clean, well equipped with lots of facilities, we ate in the bar for lunch which was very reasonable. Good location for exploring the city centre, would stay again.

The hotel is in a great location, just 5 minutes from the train station. Upon arrival I was offered a free glass of wine - great start. Used the gym - decent facilities. Room - the mattress was overly hard for my liking - but otherwise facilities were fine for a short stay. The food - my evening meal was overly greasy - I think they need to look at how they cook the food, and in particular take greater care over ensuring that they drain off any excess fat prior to serving.

me and the wife had a cheeky 3 night stay here last week for my birthday as we were off to see Castleford Tigers play :) they lost :( Anyway the Hotel itself easy to find coming off the motorway Parking was easy and convenient underground as most city centre hotels are, Big spacious rooms with comfortable bed big bed, toilet and shower room separate which i liked was on the 2nd floor so ideal for us very peaceful floor. Good gym/spa facilities which i used once on our stay however they could benefit from having a swimming pool like the Cardiff one, overall a great stay think the parking price was reasonable but as it seems to be there own car park could of charged a tenner a night but will be using this hotel again at 65 a night a real bargain, didn't have breakfast as wetherspoons around the corner and do a great fry up for 4.99, great job Novotel see you again :) P.S if staying for a few days try Foley's bar its amazing :)

I stayed at your hotel on the 5th august and I wasn't satisfied with the level of customer service we received. First of all myself and my partner had a terrible nights sleep after sleeping on a very hard mattress; as you can imagine after paying £129 for a one night stay we at least expected a good nights sleep. The following morning after checking out we got trapped in your car park elevator, your hotel staff failed to answer the emergency call alarm from the elevator several times. Personally I suffer from panic attacks so the situation I was put in by your staff was highly stressful. Further to this, after been returned back to the ground floor by luck of pressing several buttons, we got laughed at and told to use the stairs by two women that were stood at the desk. No apology was received and they then continued to let other guests use the lift after we had told them it was faulty. This was our first stay at your hotel and overall the experience was a bit disappointing considering the positive reviews we had read on the internet and heard from friends.

The hotel is of a well known brand, Novotel, but unfortunately does not really reflect the novotel spirit. I stayed here for 5 nights 18-23 june, for a business mission. -The staff first of all are very helpful. -The bed sheets/ pillows/ blanket not clean, and lots of hair all over. I asked them to change all the linen, but unfortunately it was the same. Because of this I put towels on the bed before I sleep. -The furniture is very old. - Not safety/ security: On a Tuesday evening, a stranger knocked on my door and I never opened the door, but when he realized I was in the room he started banging the door with his fist and he also kicked and banged his head on the door. No security personnel on the premises, not even security cameras in the hallways, i had to call reception twice foe them to send someone for assistance. I didn't even get an apology from hotel management, not even a show of concern in regards to what happened. And one of the staff told me "the guy's probably drunk" as if this would calm me down. The hotel needs to have safety measures in place. If someone comes into the hotel and commits a crime, no one would know when and who did it. I was very shocked when I knew that there were no security cameras throughout the hotel corridors at least!

Great hotel with friendly staff. Struggled to park in a very tight space but staff let me park right outside the hotel. They bent over backwards to help me too! Great bar/restaurant where goats cheese and red Thai curry were delicious. Rooms spacious but would have liked a bottle of water. Great venue for a conference - inspired and well presented breakfast, great buffet lunch and great cakes/scones midway through the afternoon. Not just a city-centre hotel!
