We took a trip to Wetherby last week for a couple of nights, we arranged to stay at the Mercure in Wetherby because it is handy for the racecourse. We had a couple of lovely nights in the hotel where the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Ideally situated within walking distance of Wetherby town centre, this hotel is more suited to business people. It has many conference facilities, which are regularly in use. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. The room was adequate, possibly in need of a refurbishment, but the room was warm, the bed comfortable and the shower was hot. The breakfast was served buffet style, so if you left hungry it was your own fault. The majority of the staff were friendly, just the odd one who found it difficult to speak! It is a great base to visit the area.

We stayed at this hotel this weekend I must say the hotel is looking a bit tired, but the staff were welcoming and very friendly and we had no problems, the restaurant was very busy but we had no problems with the service,as someone has stated before the hotel is very quiet dispite being near a main road, and only a short walk from Weatherby which has plenty of different eateries if you don't fancy the hotel restaurant, all in all a plenty stay thanks to all the staff.

Good location for motorway and town centre, basic but good value. Tip: do not get a room with door to adjoining room, unless you want to hear next door's conversations, etc. Rear of hotel surprisingly quiet considering near major road location. Friendly and helpful staff.

We stayed here at the back end of the year to visit an establishment in Wetherby. The location was brilliant. It was easy to navigate to find. The rooms were basic at best, with stains on the chairs and chips out of the furniture and quite dated in decor. There was nothing unclean regarding it, however the bathroom had seen much better days. The staff were friendly and the bar was fairly priced and stayed open late. The hotel was quiet, however you could hear neighbours. Average at best.

I reviewed this hotel last February and I have to say I wasn't looking forward to revisit. We were going to an annual dinner so we had to go"! It was so much better and The food was quite good. It was hot and decent quality. The wine is as expensive as ever. Although management denied it last year. I can confirm I didn't make a mistake. Breakfast was better And well organised. It was fresh and hot. So no complaints this year. Rooms are fine. Basic but clean.

We stayed her for one night, the room is very basic, it was clean. This is ok if you get it at a decent price but the prices always change, I would only stay again if the price was low enough it's not worth £94 a night.

Stayed here for 1 night on a business trip. Hotel feels very dated and in need of a refurbishment. I waited about 10 mins to get checked in as only 1 person on reception. The room was far too hot, but no controls to adjust down. Room was clean and comfy, though was quite small. Breakfast was good and staff very friendly. Probably would not book again

Stayed here for convenience for a family party and the location was good but the hotel seriously needs updating. I've stayed in far nice places for the same price and definitely wouldn't go back. Carpets in hotel are worn and dirty looking and the whole place just feels outdated.

Good location on the edge of wetherby but disappointing.when you arrive reception and bar area hide the fact that the rooms are very tired.once you are on way to rooms you are aware that scruffy carpets and decor are followed into the bedrooms.mine was okay but not what you would expect from this group.mine was compounded by the fact my shower fell off the wall and was running cold .conference rooms remain good
