Can't really fault this hotel when it comes to value for money...and it's attention to detail when it comes to customer service is second to none. Nothing was too much trouble! The staff genuinely make you feel like they care and you matter. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the breakfast is good quality with plenty of choice. Excellent value for money and customer service!
Relatively new Holiday Inn Express is clean and welcoming coming in. Just a 5 minute taxi ride from the station which is very convenient. Staff welcoming upon arrival late, and good that bar open late. Room clean, modern and good size. Shower cubicle rather than a bath was spacious and much more convenient. Recommended.
Friend booked it, as we were there for one night to celebrate her birthday. Room was large and clean, as was the bathroom. No real bar, but the receptionist will get you drinks and there's a fridge in reception with snacks/sandwiches etc. Car parking was £4 with IHG reward card, which is cheap enough. Although I always think it's a bit of a cheek charging for parking when you're a guest. Room was quiet and we had a good nights sleep. Enough choice at breakfast to keep us all happy. Wouldn't really describe it as being in the City Centre - we drove in.....
The good bits - easy to find - has a car park (£6 a night). Staff are delightful - smiling and very helpful. The advertised breakfast was as good as they claim - lot of choice - and all hot and fresh. No waiting, no queuing, and continually topped up. No food other than that except a vending machine with sandwiches, sweets and crisps. The bad bits - avoid room 111 (or any rooms on that side) - it is on the first floor overlooking the car park and hotel entrance so all night long there appears to be late arrivals (often drunkenly loud) and chatting smokers, finished off with the early leavers.. The room was actually OK , although a bit tired, with an old noisy air conditioner that only seemed to chuck out hot air no matter how low it was turned down, but the bed itself was horribly uncomfortable. Bathroom ditto - bit old and the shower although hot had as much power as a watering can. Would I stay again - if I had to but probably not as first choice and probably not unlessI got a really really cheap rate.
I was expecting there to be a bath rather than just a shower, so that was disappointing. The top floor room was away from traffic noise. Parking was an extra £6 - if you stay at the Premiere Inn opposite , you can park free. Breakfast was better than average for this type of hotel
Really smart Hotel.Staff on reception were brilliant in many ways to help. Thanks Team.A taxi is a must if its raining and you want to walk to town with the main shops.Summers day would be lovely though.
Stayed at this hotel for 1 night, The receptionist who booked us in was excellent smiling, informative taking the trouble to enquire about our visit she was great as was the other receptionist. Our room had every thing we required and was comfortable had a good night sleep. The breakfast was most welcome you can eat as little or as much as you like. We were on the 7th floor which was ok as we faced the road this high you did not get road noise. Just remember you have to pay £6 parking. This hotel was ideal for what we wanted. We would book Holiday inn again.
Booked this hotel because it seemed the best value of all Leeds hotels for parking. It cost £4 per day with our IHG loyalty card. Even without its only £6 per day. The front desk welcome was excellent and efficient. We received the room type we requested, it was clean and of a good standard, comfy bed, tea and coffee facilities, iron and board. The breakfast was excellent with the usual cereals, cooked breakfast which was hot and a toaster that actually worked properly. The self service arrangement was perfect as the food is set out in a separate area giving the eating area a relaxed unhurried feel. Windows all round gave it good natural light. From entering to leaving was a good experience all round. The only negative was noise from the busy road. If we return to Leeds we'll stay here.
Disappointed with the location. It claims to be City Centre but it is a good 20mins walk to centre of Leeds. On a warm summer’s day his wouldn’t be an issue. No good places to eat nearby so you are forced to get a cab. Luckily they have Uber in Leeds. The only other gripe I had was the heating wasn’t great. Cold January I was hoping the room would be a little warmer. This is your standard HIE, modern, no frills. Next time I would prefer something a little more central!!!
Great friendly staff no problem too small. Very comfortable bed had a great restdul sleep. The room and the public areas kept very clean. Had a secure carpark which we liked. The Breaskfast is second to none it filled you up, we came away stuffed ready for the day. The town centre is only a 15-20 walk away. Only downside was the water pressure in the shower too low. We had put it down that there was alot of guest showering at the same time. Would recommend this hotel to everyone as offered excellent value for money. Better than other establishments we stayed at in Leeds.
