Had a great nights stay at this hotel whilst attending a show in Leeds. It was a great modern hotel. The staff who I interacted with were very polite and helpful. It is situated close to amenities and not far from train station. Great stay.
Hotel is well decorated and rooms are very “techy”. Service is very very slow. Booking in took an age and waited 20 mins at the bar to be served. I was the only person in the bar. Reception staff seem to man the bar/reception and food service at the restraurant making the service of customers dismally slow. Would put me off coming back. Apart from that the staff were all very nice just need designated staff for each service point.
Lovely hotel very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful nothing to much trouble for them. Plenty of choice for breakfast cereals, fruit, yogurt, cooked breakfast, toast, crossonts, mini muffins, fruit juices bread rolls.
Holiday in express near armouries and an easy walk in good weather to the city Parking next door. Breakfast poor like any Holiday Inn express Rooms adequate and clean Couple of reataurants nearby - pizza hut and indian as well as good tesco next door.
Well in terms of this hotel; it’s a 15minute canal side walk or 5 minute boat taxi (free) from Trinity/rail etc. Nice location with a family friendly bar across the courtyard and a pizza express too. Only a minute walk from the car park. Our room was nicely refurbished and looked smart, was comfy and even better...lots of USB sockets next to bed (well done!) Breakfast was standard HIE offerings, and a little slow but hot, tasty and satisfactory. Now the stand out feature of this hotel is by far: the staff! Upon first contact with Fillipo, he couldn’t do enough to meet our needs and make our stay memorable for all the right reasons! Upon check in, the staff were fabulous, knew who we were and made our visit so great. The staff are a total credit...smiles, exceptionally hospitable and will do everything they can to make you feel welcomed. Thank you for making it a special stay...and for giving our lil girl a very special birthday 🎂
This might be a bog-standard hotel except for the fact that it looks completely worn out, with scuff marks on its scuff marks. It has the virtue of being cheap and unsurprising, an identikit hotel with strange lobby furniture and a spartan feel to what is left of its threadbare rooms. Breakfast quite awful: bacon that tasted like paper and tired scrambled eggs. Position is a bit strange, so check on the map to be sure it is where you really want to be.
shower head doesn't lock on the fixing, room to small with a double bed and sofa bed, dusty in some places of the room AND SOMEONE SMOKING ON THE SAME FLOOR AS MYSELF AND MY 2 KIDS Leeds is a very bustling city,i would stay again but a different time of the year, and also breakfast wasn't bad baked beans were cold, all in all not bad only stayed for the museum and my son's 21st,a few niggly bits need sorting for myself and my family to stay more than one night.but all in all not bad doesn't warrant any higher than a 3 star rating.
As HI Express hotels go, this is a very well maintained, cared for hotel with spotless rooms, friendly staff and lots of little touches you wouldn't expect in a budget hotel. Like fantastic towels, USB sockets by the bed for charging your phone, irons and ironing boards in every room... staff are lovely, it does get busy in the weekend but what hotel doesn't? A £4 Uber away from anywhere in Leeds, this hotel is highly recommended.
Hotel is well located near dock, very clean and helpful staff. Can enjoy breakfast for couple of days, since i stayed 3 weeks got bit bored with breakfast, can add baked beans and hashbrowns for breakfast. Overall experience was very pleasant.
Great location for a stroll down the canal into the city centre, handy car park next door which is 8 quid over night if you stay here and get your ticket stamped, rooms basic but clean and tidy as youd expect from a holiday inn. Staff very friendly, breakfast is good.
