Stayed at the hotel for a night very friendly reception staff kat very helpful and friendly service hotel room was nice comfortable beds nice space and free parking very good clean hotel had a nice room with a view
Stayed one night on a trip with Travel group. Hotel is well situated near shops, restaurants and pubs. Check-in was quick and organised by friendly and helpful staff. The room was a good size, it was clean and the bed very comfortable, we heard no noise from neighbouring rooms or from outside. Both dinner in the evening and breakfast were well cooked, hot and tasty. Excellent value for money.
A great last minute booking. Fun evening, lovely food - better than expected. Helpful and friendly staff. Good entertainment with singer and DJ until way after midnight. Lovely breakfast next morning. Will definitely look at staying for another event.
Not a good experience at all very lacking this year our second new year on the trot wont be returning staff rude with no social skills or manners water to shower cold slipped in bath no mat in room bar service slow not much choice in drinks and ecpensive table service from waiters leave a lot to be desired removing plates before all finished wine ordered but didnt get till main finished buffet in bedroom broken leg hotel is not maintained and jobs done when needed table decorations were removed im sure they thought we were going to steal them it id expensive and the food isnt brill either very let down
Stayed frequently for work and overall its ok, but dependant on which room you get, determines the type of stay. Some rooms are good and very comfortable, but some of the rooms that have not been refurbed, have issues - Heating doesnt work, windows dont close properly and the rooms are very dated. The gym is good, but needs a refresh as a lot of machines were out of order when i visited. Overall, a good hotel but recently the prices are increasing since they came away from Best Western. Some investment needed to justify the £65+ rate per night.
Came to a works Xmas party and after checking in swiftly, decided to order a drink from the bar. Now this is where the problem begins, the bar area was full of party goers, yet there was 2 bar staff on duty. They had 2 speeds, slow and statue like. Surely, the hotel could have or should have anticipated the busy period. Waiting nearly 10 minutes to be served is not on, and it spoilt the atmosphere.
The hotel occupies a lot of space near M606, an ideal access to Bradford. Parking was easy, and checking in and out were painless. The room was clean, and breakfast served was of good quality, even though one would have expected more selection of fresh fruit. The price of the stay was reasonable - I would say "value for money".
I attended a meeting here , only 4 weeks later to be issued with a £100 parking charge. I rang the hotel to complain and they told me that there are signs up in the car park tell you to register you car with reception. These are obviously no prominent enough as I know of 3 other people at the same event with tickets. On entering the hotel I went up to reception to as the location of the room being used, there was no mention of ,"have you come in a car sir". I sent off proof of the attendance at the time to prove my point but , this was just rejected out of hand. ****PLEASE BE AWARE OF THESE CHARGES AS THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY JUST AN EXTRA INCOME TAX FOR THE HOTEL****
Arrived at the hotel after a long drive up from London. The place was fairly easy to find using my satnav, and location was good for getting around, as you are more or less straight onto the main roads to take you to different areas. Expected to drop my bags off for a two night stay and freshen up before heading out. Was told that i was unable to be checked in, due an IT issue, and the gentleman assumed it should be back up in approx 30 mins so i could wait around until that was done. The gentleman did offer to store my bags behind the reception, but instead in an attempt to not eat into my break time, I decided to take my wife and 2 year old son somewhere nice (or so i thought it would be anyway). Ended up coming back later in the evening after visiting a few places and a place to eat, and was met by Darren the night manager. Darren apologised to me, explained the situation, was extremely helpful with getting me a better room after seeing the one allocated to me was right next to the delivery door, and brought me a travel cot (without a mattress) but did bring extra duvets and pillows to try and make up for the lack of a mattress. Darren was extremely helpful and if I could clone Darren multiple times and set up my own hotel chain, I would. Room was a decent size and clean, until you notice the couple of stains just under the toilet-ewww. The rest of the trip was fine, the use of the pool, sauna was good, just a shame i couldn't use it more. Parking was free and i never had a problem finding a space. The hotel does give a few freebies if needed such as toothbrush, shower gel, etc. I requested a comb, which the lady at reception said she didn't have, but will get one for me to my room. I have checked out now and still not sure if it has made it yet. Overall, unhappy about the dirtyish drop in the bathroom, amd wasn't happy with the response regarding the inability to check in on arrival especially considering the long drive we had taken, and that we had a two year old with us.
