My friend and I had afternoon tea at the Holiday Inn, Worth, for a belated birthday treat. I cannot find one fault with the service or food. From the moment we were greeted, right up until leaving, the staff were very hospitable . There was a mix up (my friends fault) and they could not have been more helpful. We were offered a selection of teas or coffees. When our cakes and sandwiches arrived I couldn't believe much there was on the stand! A selection of cakes, scones, cream and jam and a selection of sandwiches and a pana cotta! The bread was lovely and soft and the fillings were generous. We both had a dietary requirement and we were very well catered for. The lady that served us (short blond hair) was a delight and the gentleman on reception who sorted out our initial issue, was helpful and efficient, even though it was my friends mistake. I love an afternoon tea and I have had many and this was definitely up there with the best. It was great value for money £12.50, really tasty and beautifully presented. We will definitely going back once my waist line has recovered!! I thoroughly recommend a visit.

Standard hotel close to Gatwick, with good parking, breakfast, bar and gym. Rooms are bigger and quite. On average a good service. Nothing worst and nothing special. If you look for a right compromise is really suggested

Great hotel, nice rooms and spacious plus the food is amazing and the staff friendly what more do you need! Will visit again plenty of parking and your car stays on site a big bonus. Easy to find just below Gatwick and just 15 minute taxi ride away

I have stayed here a few times now for one night and I have been pleasantly surprised by the clean and spacious rooms. Check in/out was always quick without issues and the staff was nice. The free snacks and beverages in the room were also a bonus. Haven’t tried the restaurant or the other amenities but would stay again if I want to be closer to the airport.

I stayed here overnight in March and was very pleased with my stay. On arrival the staff were very efficient and very helpful and I was luckily enough to be upgraded to an executive room which was a lovely bonus. I needed help with finding a business in Gatwick and the staff could not have been more helpful, they printed me out details and directions to the location. I had a very enjoyable meal in the hotel restaurant which I found to be very good value for money. The breakfast was great value and really good food too. There was a charge to park here, but at least you knew that your vehicle was safe. We are due to fly from Gatwick in July and would not hesitate in booking this hotel again. Thank you.

Booked this hotel with car parking for about £70. It seamed a good deal and knew that we had to get a taxi to and from airport at £11.50 each way. There is no way that this hotel is 4*, we have stayed in better un rated gurest houses than this. The restaurant had a reasonable menu, but they forgot to put our order in at 8.45pm and it closes at 9.30pm. We were told this at 9.30. Food did though come at 10pm and they gave us a discount on the bill. The taxi came on time and the transfer to the airport was fine, Coming back though was a different story. It took ages to find a taxi, when we arrived back at the hotel to collect the car we were told the fare was £ 17.25, not £ 11.50 which was told to us, and printed on our paperwork. The hotel staff said that the price of £17.25 was correct as there was a premium due to it being bank holiday Monday. I tried to get get my point across that we were told it would be £ 11.50 and if we had known the taxi transfers would be nearly £30, we would have chosen a different hotel, but the receptionist said to her colleague "Do you speak English"? then past us across to him!!! Well, we just left as we simply wanted to collect our car and get home. We then found a deep scratch on the car, which really put the finishing touches to this stay at Holiday Inn. We then took notice to how the cars were parked, and can see how easily damage can happen, but then you sign to accept that cars are parked at your own risk. Next time we will just pay the extra and stay at the Premier Inn or Sofitel directly at the airport.

When checking in, I was offered breakfast for £10 per person (for the following morning). I mentioned that via the breakfast club web page, it is only £7.95 per person, to which the response in an unfriendly manner was "go book it online then". The next morning, there was no greeting from the front desk staff (same guy) when walking to the breakfast room, despite him not being busy. Convenient location for the airport, and the room was comfortable enough (if a little dated), but the attitude of one member of front desk staff let things down.

Similarly to other recent reviews the restaurant in this hotel is overpriced with terrible service. The hotel may say it is comparable within the area but other hotels in the area deliver a much higher standard of food and service. The service was laughable. The food itself was average. Main barely warm but as we’d waited nearly an hour for It I didn’t want to send it back. Portions on the small side. We had 5 different waiting staff tend to us during our excruciating slow dinner (nearly 2 hours for main and dessert). Definitely wouldn’t eat here again. The hotel itself was perfect for an overnight stay before a flight. Room large, clean and comfortable. Check in and check out friendly and efficient. Price for room was good. Easy to find and close to airport. We would use this hotel again for this purpose but would eat elsewhere.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for the night before our flight and tried the Lytton's Bar & Brasserie for dinner. The food was average and the service was very poor. We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive and when they did, they missed one drink off. We then had to wait again but ended up having to go and get it ourselves from the bar because they were taking so long! The lady who took our order was very nice however spoke very little English and when our food arrived it was wrong. The staff seemed very inexperienced and didn't communicate with each other at all! If we stay at the hotel again in the future we will definitely eat out next time.

Stayed here twice in a week...once before flying from Gatwick and again on our return. Standard Holiday Inn accommodation....just what you need in an airport or business hotel. What does let it down is that it is difficult to find! Using the postcode on Sat nav takes you to the M23 right past the property! Take great care of the direction given and NOT the postcode. Some signage at the roundabout of Junction 20 would be really helpful...motorists need to go down a small country lane to reach the site. Without a sign there is nothing to suggest this is the correct route. On a positive note the staff were really helpful. Our baggage was lost on the flight home and the Holiday Inn staff couldn't be more sympathetic and helpful. There was also a small issue with our evening meal and again the staff fell over themselves to put it right. Thank you.
