Great location and facility for a quick overnight business stopover. Pretty cheap and good room and breakfast area. Car park is really close too. I will use this again for Gatwick holiday getaways. I will be back
Three adults stayed for one night. Room a bit small but very clean and comfortable beds.very clean bath towels .always like the bathrooms here as the toilet can be separate which is a good idea.Very pleasant and helpful staff day and night.the only problem was that we were awake till gone three with the strongest smell of cooking so went to reception to be told our room 225 was above the kitchen and the croissants were being cooked for the breakfast.so we had no choice even though very cold but to sleep with the window open.breakfast was buffet style and very nice.
I have stayed here many times with work this time the shower tray filled up quickly so I pulled out the screen and see what I found, not pleasant and I told the staff when I checked out and the person pulled a face and I asked the manager to contact me and nothing, I then emailed the hotel to discuss it and that’s nearly two weeks again now. I didn’t want to share this but they obviously don’t care?
We booked this hotel in advance using our IHG membership and got it for a great price about £64.00. Check in was straight forward and we where greeted as IHG members. The room was a large standard set up, large double bed with an additional sofa bed set up for our children. The room was clean, as was the standard bathroom which had a shower but no bath. A hot and cold breakfast was included in the our price, which was very nice and tasty, and the staff on duty where very helpful and nice. A really enjoyable stay and I would be happy to stay again and recommend to others. Gatwick was a short taxi ride away which cost £12.00 when using a local taxi firm ordered from reception.
Holiday Inn Express is familiar stop for me, generally comfortable and OK for the budget chain end of the market. This one was well located (read on for a big negative), and it is clean and comfortable. The staff, mostly European, were exceptional, polite and friendly. They all carried the corporate image well and were a credit to the brand. Breakfast was good and plenty of it, for the packaged price so no complaints. Oh, and parking was plentiful. The BIG negative is the on site Harvester! Shocking beyond belief. Dirty, bad food, poorly managed, with all English, rude staff. I have posted a separate review for this element. The difference between the 2 was astonishing. I will add a further review as to how they manage the serious complaint I raised. So stay at the Holiday Inn, which is great, but eat elsewhere.
Stayed here 2 days to experience the Crawley area. Beds not so comfortable and shook just by sitting on them. Airconditioning was functional which was a big plus. Tea and coffee provided on the house 👍🏾. Fresh towels daily 👍🏾. I rate cleaniness a 2 star out of 5 👎🏾. We ran out of boxed tissues and these were replaced by hand by stuffing tissues in the box 😤. Soap dispensers were close to empty on arrival. We had a fly on the wall that had been there forever. Breakfast of low quality, in my view...scrambled eggs from a powered mix. No alternatives for tjose with allergies. Coffee machine was great and functioned beautifully. Soya milk provided but had to be warmed using a microwave 😠 Parking at £7 per day which is not mentioned on the website. 😠 Personally, would not use Holiday Inn Express in future.
I was really impressed with this hotel. Every single member of staff was absolutely lovely! The food in the restaurant was delicious (I had the chicken Kiev), the shower was awesome and the room was really clean and comfortable.
Visiting Crawley for couple of days in business meetings. The hotel is relatively new and as what you would expect for a holiday inn express. Breakfast was good and the overall service was very good too for a few days staying away.
As a loyal IHG member and employee of another Holiday Inn, I must say I was extremely disappointed in this hotel. I’ve stayed at other Holiday Inn’s and even the Express that were very nice. I never ever complain, either, so this review is really that serious. This hotel left much to be desired. First, on a positive note I do amend them for location, which is quite convenient to both Three Bridges station and Gatwick airport. I also did enjoy Harvesters restaurant adjacent to the hotel, which was very nice and delicious, even had a salad bar I enjoyed. The room itself wasn’t too bad. BUT, the first thing I came to find when settling in the room is that my window looked as if it had been punched or perhaps a big rock was thrown at it, or honestly it could be a damn bullet hole. I simply wanted to open the window and as I did glass pieces fell everywhere. How has that not been fixed??? I wouldn’t have been displeased so much if the bed had been comfortable. Other reviews mentioned the room was comfortable as was the bed. I’m not sure if I’m unlucky enough to have gotten a bad one? I’m not sure. But I could actually feel the springs in my back. This hotel was a major disappointment especially moving from a very nice Holiday Inn in Kensington, which was lovely with a comfortable bed I slept great in. I couldn’t wait to check out of this hotel and go home to my bed. I also spent 20,000 points on this stay. I can’t complain much since it was a free night, however the points do have value, which I could’ve used at a nicer property or for a gift card instead. I should’ve kept those points and paid my employee rate at the Crowne, which would’ve been 30 pounds and much nicer. This is the last time I’ll ever stay at this property. I would not recommend to anyone and I’ll certainly not be back. The shower was the nicest part of the room. Lol I found that funny. Please, if a manager reads this, fix the smashed glass window in room 125. And see about a bed that isn’t going to make me require a chiropractor.
Not the best holiday inn, The main disappointment was our bathroom which smelt of urine, we literally had to throw some soap on the floor just to make it bearable. Then the shower smelt of damp which made it even worse it was disgusting. Normally Holiday Inn are clean with a great breakfast, this particular branch did not fit the bill. Not impressed by the £7 car park, every other holiday inn and other leading hotel brands always offer free parking. Small positive the receptionist we dealt with was friendly.
