While the old wing of the hotel is completely renovated and offers all modern comfort bit still kept its "grandeur" and style, there is a new very modern wing to the hotel with a a choice of rooms and suites, suitable to the most demanding business traveler of our days. it is good to see how this house combines history and tradition with modern comfort for demanding customers. Extremely good bedding. The restaurant is top, but you should definitely visit the cafe too.

Stayed here as it was close to the trade show we were at, we booked two years ago at the previous show. We had overbooked rooms, and we did offer to sell them back to the hotel but they declined, quite sad as we met many people at the show who were wanting room and had needed to stay some distance away. Rooms were very nice and well restored, good view over the town square, all my colleagues commented on how hot the rooms were despite turning the radiators off, but generally nice hotel, although you do have to go and search some one out if you want anything cooked for breakfast Room service was quick but the food very bland and not great Car parking lacks something to be desired and at 15 Euros per day not good value one comment - not the hotels fault but the rock concert from 6:00 am on the Friday morning ... yes 6:00am was completely unnecessary wake up local council

I really enjoyed my short stay at the hotel. Amazing staircase.Cosy lobby. Great location in the city centre. Comfty beds, big and spacious bathroom. Fast check-out available. Poor breakfast :( Overall, I do recommend.

This is a very atmospheric hotel, one of the oldest in Belgium and located in the heart of Kortrijk which is an interesting town to visit for shopping, walking, and history. The hotel facade is narrow so most rooms are to the rear and do not have views over the market square. But the rooms are nicely furnished and decorated in pink and grey, well maintained and warm. No tea making facilities, but that is normal for Belgium. The bathroom had a large bath with shower over, the marble showing signs of age, but I like marble so didn't mind. There were quality toiletries by Clarins provided. There is a beautiful cafe/bar to the front of the reception area and you can enjoy drinks, light meals, etc outside if you prefer, and watch the world go by. This is open to the public but there is a cosy lounge inside with a fire burning for residents. Breakfast was in an attractive room with a very good buffet selection. There is a first class restaurant in the hotel, and dozens of others to suit all tastes and budgets in Kortrijk. Parking is at the rear of the hotel and a bit tricky to find, but it is very secure with electronic gates. The staff are always outstanding (I have visited this hotel 4 times), Tina the manager could not have been more friendly and helpful. She is a credit to the hotel. This is not the cheapest hotel you will find, but in my opinion its unique characteristics and excellent service make it one worth visiting again and again.

Nice renovation certainly but stay..too old fashioned..a step to low to be perfect. The room was nice but the furnitures seems passed. The bathroom ? Common. We were on the 3d floor...but with the odour of smoke ( smokers just in the porch downstairs). Basic breakfast. In summary: maybe but..don t exspect too much. This hotel have a life as us but get older as us

Our room (36) at the front of the hotel was very noises from the street with late night drinkers shouting until 2am. The car park is a rough stone area with a secure gate but at 15 Euro per night it should be. GREAT CAUTION IF STAYING IN KORTRIJK IF YOU PARK ON THE ROAD TO THE LEFT OF THE HOTEL (looking at the front of the hotel) ON A SUNDAY NIGHT YOUR CAR WILL BE TOWED AWAY BY THE POLICE AS THEY HAVE A STREET MARKET AND TO GET YOUR CAR BACK COSTS 260 Euro. The hotel has a small sign on their desk that without prompting you to read you will easily miss. The street sigh that says there is a Monday market is in Belgium writing so if you don't speak or read their language you will be cought out and ripped off. We have been to this town four times and each time stayed at this hotel but this is the last time. Hotel room is ok but dated and the two small lifts kept breaking down. Would l stay here again....NO

The Grote Markt dominates Kortrijk with the Hotel Damier discretely located overlooking. It is clearly the place to imbibe a coffee, a beer or anything to be acknowledged by passers by as you sit outside under the tree lined pavement. I stay in many hotels but this hotel is a true find. Old style oak panelled walls, single lifts, hidden dining rooms with high chandeliers. Rarely have I noticed equally written about the comfort, the bed linen so soft ensuring a relaxing sleep. The hotel staff were so helpful this day has been superb A perfect spot, a perfect hotel. You will enjoy.

I stayed three nights at this hotel in a "superior" room. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good and I made use of their private parking nearby. A/C and Wi-Fi worked well. My only complaint was that my room had no shelves or drawers where I could place my clothes and other personal items. Instead, I had to live out of a suitcase. I have had more room amenities in a two-star hotel and this was a 4 star!

I made a booking for a standard room at short notice.I arived,as specified in my booking, later in the day than I usually do,having been flying a total of over six hours. I was given a free" upgrade" to a huge suite on the sixth floor This should have raised my suspicions.Had I walked beyond the room, around a corner,I would have seen a sheet of plywood across the corridor. Having gone to bed tired, and not so early ( because of noise from drinkers in the courtyard) as usual,I was woken at 0725 by heavy building work adjacent to my room. The following morning, staff said that the hotel was " fully booked",as if this were an excuse for not having warned me.Had they done so, I would then have had the opportunity to walk short distance to one of the other hotels I have previously used in Kortrijk. I find this unacceptable. It is offering a service. with no intention of delivering it.

One of the best hotels I had ever been, and I've been a lot...:) Stylish, amazing architecture, perfect location, cozy food and super breakfast. In the room you feel like the time has stopped and you turn beck at least century ago:)
