We stayed here for two nights to see the memorial places in Ypres and to attend the Last Post which is held every night there. The hotel is fantastic! The room was fabulous and the breakfast amazing! We also had an evening meal which was superb. The staff were amazing and so helpful. Nothing was a problem for them, including organising a taxi for us into the town centre. We will definitely return here.
I really enjoyed staying here during our visit! The first night we had dinner in the restaurant and it was brilliant. Breakfast had a decent selection of food, depending on your preference. Rooms are clean and quaint. Beds are comfortable. Iper is a lovely town to visit and would strongly suggest a few days of battlefield site seeing.
Charming hotel with pleasant staff. My stay started with me being informed that they did not have my reservation and then as if by magic it appeared. Found the hotel to be excellent for our needs... a bed for the night. Had a decent night in Ypres followed by a good night sleep. Breakfast was a massive surprise.. so nice I had second helpings. I wasn’t expecting a great deal from this hotel, it surpassed my expectations and would have no issues about going back. The hotel has plenty of parking and the staff were very helpful.
Admittedly I came here in deepest darkest December when West Flanders is not at its most welcoming. The rain was lashing against the windscreen as I pulled into Best Western's Flanders outpost. The greeting on arrival was friendly enough but the room was dour and impersonal and cold ! The wall heaters didnt appear to work and the mini bar was ....unstocked. To add insult to injury, the bar wont tale cards for anything less than a bill of €20. I get it when small shops have that kind of policy, but a major hotel chain??? Smacked of greedy management wanting guests to order more at the bar. The hotel site itself is just off an industrial estate and nowhere near any attractions in town. For the money and even for less, U wouldnt bother.
Nice hotel, for the money and perfect for our needs, being close to Ypres itself and within easy reach of Passchendaele and Tyne Cot. Good rooms, lovely stuff and a great breakfast to boot! Prices were very good as well and I’d go back.
Great hotel , very comfortable ,very helpful staff 20 min walk into town .we found it a great base .as a group of bikers we will certainly be using this hotel again next year (2018) to re-visit the menin gate
Five of us went to Ieper to find out more about the battles at Passchendaele. The hotel we well situated just outside the Ieper. A brisk 20 minute walk in to Ieper or take a taxi. Good size rooms and the hotel has been recently updated. A large breakfast room and in my view the breakfast will set you up for the day. Staff go a long way in my book and all the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I will be back and thank you.
Wanted a cheap hotel for an overnight in Ieper. A little too far to walk into or out of town centre - but Taxi was cheap enough at 8euro for 2. Includes a Restaurant, Bar with TV. Rooms are nice with the timber, great double head shower. Friendly staff. Good Breakfast! I was pleased with my choice.
I have spent one night here. The atmosphere is good, building is mainly from wood, nice. Rooms is big enough, bathroom is also nice and clean. Bed, the one for 1 person is small, not king size, but comfortable. Breakfast is really rich, you can choose several salty and sweet pcs. So finally I can say it is a good value for money stay.
This is a clean, modern hotel with a good breakfast and nice rooms. It is a good base for touring Flanders and is situated on the outskirts of Ypres. It can get busy and the car park gets full. As it hosts coach trips breakfast can also be busy at times. Walking to the city centre, however, is not easy and not pleasant after dark as there are no footpaths in the vicinity of the hotel that is on an out of town industrial/ retail site.
