We stayed after a day on the Somme. The hotel rooms had just been refurbished and we had the most wonderful shower. Overall the bathrooms on the old buildings in Europe leave a lot to be desired, this was fantastic. The breakfast was absolutely beautiful, with lovely pastries and scrambled eggs. They even opened early for us.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Easy to find, ample parking space and everything clean and tidy. Welcoming staff. Plush bedroom et al (walls are a bit thin when it comes to the neighbours). Our first night was rather hot with not such a good sleep, until we worked out the a/c system. Food was always good (but they don't place jugs of tap water on your table). Breakfast was always a treat, self service. Spacious and light dinning area. The bar at night was also a good stop off with friends. We had packed lunches from the hotel too, which were substancial and yummy. A very good base to see Ypres and the surrounding WW1 sites, esp. for coach tours.

This is my third visit and the staff are always very welcoming and without doubt they have the best barman in Mark. Would recommend a stay here 😃😃😃 The breakfast offers good choices and the rooms are all you would expect in a good hotel

Located just outside Ypres the hotel delivers all you could want. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The general facilities are extremely good. Breakfast is superb. The staff are efficient and friendly. Nothing could be added to make the stay very good, And finally, very good value for money

Top marks for quality and service. Reception at late booking was superb, the accommodation is clean new and a good size. Breakfast was more than adequate and the staff were able to provide special dietary requirements on request.

A very comfortable hotel, friendly staff. Our room was ground floor, was clean and tidy. TV was good. Shower was excellent. Air conditioning was much appreciated on a hot weekend. About a 20 minute walk from town, but a fraction of the price of the Ypres town centre hotels.

We are just back from a two night stay with friends. We stayed at the best western in Flanders lodge Ypres. The rooms were lovely and always clean. Breakfast was good, excellent selection of food was available. The set evening meal from the restaurant was amazing value for money. The staff were always very helpful and friendly. The position of the lodge was twenty minutes walk from the Menin gate which was ok for us. Would definitely go back and stay again.

Excellent hotel to base oneself. So handy for the circular roads and motorway. Comfortable rooms and first class staff. It is very popular and the breakfasts were quite good. I was very pleased that a penalty clause for one of our group who had to cancel was waived. Full marks to the nice lady at Reception.

This is our third visit to this hotel and as usual, we had a wonderful stay. This time we stayed in the new extension and had a lovely room that was quiet, given that the Belgian road rally was on at the time and the place was packed. Our room was lovely with superb bedding and pillows, a very quiet air conditioner and a spotless bathroom with separate toilet. Our breakfast was lovely with a great selection of both hot and cold dishes and dinner in the restaurant was delightful. We chose the 3 course for 20 euro and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, particularly when we wanted to visit the Brandhoeck cemetery near Poperinge to pay our respects to a family member who had been buried there, they drew us a map and asked a gentleman staying at the hotel for further instructions to make our trip as simple as possible. We also decided to stay another night and even though the hotel was flat out with the rally they went above and beyond to fit us in. If you want to visit Ypres, this is the place to stay.

Just back from four nights in Ypres. We stayed at Best Western Flanders Lodge. Rooms great. Breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly. We had a hire car so travelling the short distance to the town centre wasn't an issue. Would definitely return.
